About the role

We are looking for a Map Operations Specialist to join our local operations team for Bolt ride-hailing in Georgia. Are you after a high-impact role in a fast-growing organization where you can build from scratch and scale both yourself and the business? Then this one might be for you.

As a Map Operations Specialist you will take charge of critical map data that directly influences our product and customer experience. It’s an exciting opportunity to work with smart people from the local market and HQ, troubleshoot routing and map issues, ensure high accuracy of our geospatial data, and see the tangible results of your work on the streets of Georgia every day.

Please note that this is a full-time employment opportunity. The monthly gross salary for this role is GEL 2120, plus bonus.

Main tasks and responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, and root-cause map-related issues reported by drivers and the local team, processing them effectively based on priority.
• Edit and maintain map data, correcting existing road network geometry, addresses, and Points of Interest (POIs) using the iD editor and execute map updates in OpenStreetMap (OSM).
• Verify spatial data through on-site observations, GPS traces, approved imagery, or other pre-approved sources.
• Coordinate with your manager and HQ/GEO teams to resolve conflicting or unverified map data before publication. Act as the primary point of contact to answer questions from the wider mapping community.
• Suggest improvements to internal tooling and identify areas for automation to increase efficiency and decrease manual workload.

About you

• You possess exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills to verify data, document sources, and manage competing priorities.
• You have strong spatial awareness to read map data and identify discrepancies, with proficiency in spreadsheets and issue-tracking tools.
• You are a proactive, curious problem-solver who is passionate about maps, technology, and ride-hailing.
• You have excellent spoken and written Georgian and English (B2) skills.
