Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By using Guap and the Barista extension, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Description

Guap provides a platform that connects job seekers with opportunities and offers the Barista browser extension to assist with filling job application forms. The extension stores profile data you provide and uses artificial intelligence to generate draft answers for application fields.

3. Accounts

You must create an account to use the Barista extension. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any ATS platform's terms of service
• Submit fraudulent or misleading application information
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the extension or API
• Use automated scripts to apply to jobs without human review and confirmation
• Interfere with the proper functioning of the service

5. AI-generated content

AI-generated draft answers are suggestions only. You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and submitting any content generated through the service. We make no guarantees about the accuracy, appropriateness, or effectiveness of AI-generated content. AI outputs are non-deterministic and may contain errors or biases.

6. Credits and payments

Guap sells prepaid credit in US dollars. Nothing renews, and nothing is charged again unless you buy another pack. Each action that does work for you (an AI answer, a cover letter, a CV read, a tailored CV prompt, or Guap sending an application for you) takes its listed price from your balance, and the price is shown before you choose it. If an action fails, its price is returned to your balance. Payments are processed by Stripe, which acts as the seller of record, adds any sales tax or VAT at checkout, sends your receipt and applies any cooling-off period your country gives you.

7. Credit terms and refunds

Credits never expire, cannot be transferred and have no cash value. Unused credit is refundable within 14 days of purchase: write to [email protected]. If a payment is refunded or reversed, the credit it bought is taken back, which can leave your balance below zero until you top up. We may change the price of an action with reasonable notice; a price already shown on a button is the price you pay for that action.

8. Intellectual property

Your profile data and CV content remain your property. AI-generated content based on your input is owned by you. The Guap platform, Barista extension, and associated branding are our property.

9. Limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is." We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to rejected job applications, lost opportunities, or data inaccuracies. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the preceding 12 months.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access for violation of these terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days.

11. Changes

We may modify these terms with notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Romania. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Bucharest.
