About the role

International Card Services (ICS) brings together our International Consumer and Small & Medium Size Enterprises (SME) issuing activities, as well as our Commercial Large Market sales and account development teams. ICS issues Cards in 27 countries, and is responsible for two Joint Ventures covering around a dozen countries. The leaders in these countries are empowered to make decisions at a local level, in partnership with other local business leaders. Local teams are supported by two cross-market teams – the Centre of Excellence, and Risk & Control Management.

As an American Express intern, you’ll gain first-hand experience in Marketing and Business Development while working alongside experienced colleagues and leaders to tackle real business challenges. Throughout the internship, you’ll develop essential business skills, gain valuable insights into the global payments industry and learn how we create value for our customers and business.

You’ll become part of a collaborative and inclusive workplace, connect with colleagues across different teams and business units, and experience our award-winning culture. Through hands-on experience, networking opportunities and insights from senior leadership during our Global Speaker Series, you’ll build your professional network, strengthen your analytical and interpersonal skills, and gain a deeper understanding of how American Express drives innovation and growth.
