Guap is a job platform for anyone looking for their next job. Jobs on Guap are posted by employers who have verified their company email, and Guap also lists roles from company careers sites, rechecked and closed once they come down. A role shows its salary when the employer or the posting gives one, and your profile counts internships, side projects and volunteering, not only past jobs. #### Is Guap free for job seekers? Yes. Building a profile, browsing, swiping, applying and tracking your applications are free, always. Barista’s AI features (drafted answers, cover letters, CV reads) are paid from credit you buy once, which never expires, and every account gets its first AI answers free. #### What is Barista? Barista is Guap’s browser extension. It fills job application forms on any careers site from the profile you already built, including radio groups, checkboxes and custom dropdowns, drafts the open questions in your own words, and records each application so you can track what happens next. #### How is Guap different from LinkedIn or Indeed? Guap is built only for first jobs and early careers. Employers verify their company email before they can post, roles from company careers sites are closed once the company takes them down, and applications are tracked in one calm calendar rather than scattered across inboxes. #### What is a ghost job? A ghost job is a listing for a role that is not really open: kept up to collect CVs, to look like the company is growing, or simply forgotten. Guap rechecks the roles it lists from company careers sites and closes each one once it comes down, and employers verify their company email before they can post on Guap. #### Can I use Guap from an AI assistant? Yes, from Claude or ChatGPT. Guap’s MCP server lets your AI search roles, read your profile and draft applications in conversation, and nothing is sent until you approve it in Guap. It is open to First Sip ambassadors for now. The steps for each AI are at guap.work/mcp. #### How much does Guap cost for employers? Basic is €49 a month for 3 active postings, and Pro is €149 a month for 25 postings and up to 5 team seats. Custom is priced for volume hiring. Annual billing gives two months free. ## Guap pricing: free for job seekers, credits for AI URL: https://guap.work/pricing Last updated: 2026-10-12 Guap is free for job seekers; Barista’s AI is paid from credit you buy once that never expires. Your AI connects through a Guap sign-in that you approve, on a Guap page, and it can do only what you tick there. Sending an application or spending credits is never ticked for you, and nothing goes to an employer until you approve it in Guap. Guap logs each action the AI takes, and you can disconnect it at any time. #### What can my AI see? What you allow when you connect it: your account summary, jobs and the status of your applications, and, if you tick them, your profile and the text of your CVs. Drafting applications lets it see the answers Guap would fill in, such as your email and phone. Sensitive details such as visa, gender or disability are never shared. What it reads is sent to that AI company and handled under its terms. #### How do I disconnect? In Guap, open Settings, then Connected AI apps, and disconnect it there. The same page lists what each connected AI did. #### Does it cost credits? Connecting is free. Only actions that cost credits in Guap cost them here, and only if you allowed spending when you connected, up to the limit you chose. #### Why only ambassadors? First Sip ambassadors get new things first, and connecting your AI is one of them for now. Anyone can read this guide. Barista’s AI drafts are paid from credit bought once, which never expires. - Businesses hiring them: Paid plans, from €49 a month: post roles, import them from your job board, review applicants, schedule interviews and message candidates as a team. - Universities and career centres: A partnership rather than a plan: an institution verifies itself with its university email and tells us what its students need. ### How jobs get on Guap - Posted by a verified employer: Before a business can post on Guap it confirms a six-digit code sent to its company email address, and posting needs a Basic or Pro plan. - Listed from company careers sites: Guap also lists roles from companies’ own careers sites. It checks those roles again and closes each one once the company takes it down. A role shows its salary when the employer or the posting gives one. ### How Barista works - It fills the form, you press submit: Barista fills job application forms on any careers site from your Guap profile, including radio groups, checkboxes and custom dropdowns, with code written for Greenhouse, Ashby, Lever and Workable forms. You check what it filled and send the application yourself. - It drafts what a profile cannot answer: Open questions and cover letters are drafted in your own words against the posting, paid per draft from prepaid credit. - It keeps the record: Every application it fills is saved as a dated stage, with interview reminders, so you can see what has gone quiet. Verify your company email, pick Basic or Pro, and import from your job board. Making a business account, verifying it and looking round the dashboard cost nothing. Posting a job needs a Basic or Pro plan, and there is no trial period. ### How it works 1. Make a business account: Sign up as a business with your work email and your name. Candidates see your name when you message them. Making the account costs nothing. 2. Verify your company email: Enter your company’s name and email, then the six-digit code we send there. The code lasts 15 minutes. You can add your company’s website too. 3. Pick a plan when you are ready to post: Basic or Pro, monthly or yearly, paid by card through Stripe. You can look round your dashboard first and choose later, and change or cancel the plan at any time. 4. Post a role, or import your board: Write a posting with its pay, or import your open roles from Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby or a careers page that publishes its jobs as structured data. Imported roles arrive as drafts for you to check before they go live. 5. Meet your applicants: Each application lands in your inbox with the candidate’s CV. Move people through your stages, book interviews (the candidate gets the invite by email, and you get a reminder before it starts), and message candidates from one inbox your team shares. ### Plans - Basic: EUR 49/month, or EUR 39/month billed yearly. 3 active job postings; 1 seat; Applicant inbox. - Pro: EUR 149/month, or EUR 119/month billed yearly. 25 active job postings; Up to 5 team seats; AI candidate matching. - Custom: for volume hiring, priced on request (friend@guap.work). ### Questions from employers #### Can I switch plans later? Make a university account: Sign up as a university with your university email address. 2. Verify your institution: Enter your institution’s name and your university email, then the six-digit code we send there. 3. Tell us what partnership means to you: Who we should talk to, a phone number if you like, roughly how many students you have, and what you want from working with us: career fairs, placement tracking, introductions to employers, or something else. 4. Follow it from your dashboard: Your request stays on your institution’s dashboard while it is in review, next to the partner tools as they are built. ### Being built (listed as coming soon on the university dashboard) - Inviting your students with a Guap link - A view of your students’ profiles, applications and placements once they join - Introductions to businesses hiring from your programmes - Placement analytics as your cohort applies There is no price list and no card: a partnership is agreed with each institution. ## Press kit and company facts | Guap URL: https://guap.work/press Last updated: 2026-10-12 Guap in one paragraph, dated company facts, the Guap logo to download, and who to write to for press questions. ### Guap in one paragraph Guap is a job platform for anyone in Europe looking for their next job. When you upload your CV, the system reads it and copies what it finds into fields: your name, your contact details, your jobs with their dates, your education. Recruiters then search and filter those fields. If the system cannot read your CV properly, your application still arrives, but the fields come out empty or scrambled, and a search for the skill you have may not find you. Greenhouse, the system behind many company careers pages, lists what stops its parser: files over 2.5 MB, graphics, photos and word art, CVs uploaded as images, tables, headers and footers, and column layouts (Greenhouse support (https://support.greenhouse.io/hc/en-us/articles/200989175-Unsuccessful-resume-parse)). None of the rules below is about tricking software. They are about making your CV easy to read, for a parser and for the person after it. ### Layout: one column, real text, nothing in the margins - Use one column. A parser reads across the page, line by line. With two columns it can stitch a line of your skills onto a line of your job history. Dates and places aligned to the right of a line are fine. - Put your contact details in the body. Many parsers skip the page header and footer, so an email or phone number that lives only there may never reach the form. - Drop icons, skill bars and star ratings. An icon in place of the word “Email” or a bar for “Python” carries no text a parser can read. Write the words instead. - Make sure the text is real text. A scanned page or a CV exported as an image has nothing to read. If you cannot select the words in your PDF, neither can a parser. ### Headings a parser recognises Name your sections with the words a parser expects, rather than something clever: - Summary (or Profile, or Professional Summary) - Experience (or Work Experience, Professional Experience, Employment History) - Education - Skills (or Technical Skills, Key Skills) - Projects, Certifications, Languages, Volunteer, Awards, Publications, Interests “My Journey” or “What I Bring” may read well to a person, but a parser does not know where to put them. For students and graduates, put Education first, then Experience, Projects and Skills. Your degree is your strongest line for now, so it belongs at the top. ### Dates a parser can read - Write each date as month and year: 09/2024 or September 2024. - For a role you still hold, write Present, not “now” or “today”. - Avoid seasons (“Summer 2025”) and years on their own (“2023 to 2024”). A parser cannot turn them into a start month and an end month. - Use one format throughout the CV. ### Bullets that say what you did - Start with a verb. “Built”, “Organised”, “Cut”, “Taught”. Not “Responsible for”, “Worked on”, “Helped with” or “Involved in”, which describe a duty rather than a result. - Add a number where there is one. How many people, how much money, how much time, how many users. Most bullets have one if you look. - Keep each bullet short. One or two lines. Guap’s checker flags any bullet over 250 characters. - Leave out “I”, “my” and “we”. CV bullets are written without them. - Cut the empty phrases. “Team player”, “hard worker”, “results-driven”, “detail-oriented” and “self-starter” tell a reader nothing your bullets should not already show. ### What to leave out - “References available on request.” Employers assume it. - An objective statement. A short summary of what you offer does the job better than what you are looking for. - Self-ratings. “Expert in Excel”, “Python 4/5” or a row of stars cannot be checked and are easy to doubt. Show the skill in a bullet instead. - Links hidden under a word. Print the address in full, such as linkedin.com/in/yourname, so it survives being copied into a form. - Personal details, depending on the country. In the US, Canada, the UK and Ireland, leave out a photo, date of birth, marital status, nationality, religion and gender. Elsewhere in Europe a photo is still common, so follow what employers in your country expect. ### Fonts and the file - Use a standard font such as Arial, Calibri, Garamond, Helvetica, Georgia or Times. Decorative and script fonts are harder to read, for a parser and for a person. - Keep the file small. Greenhouse cannot parse a CV over 2.5 MB, which is easy to pass with large images. - Name the file after yourself, such as Ana-Pop-CV.pdf, not final_v2.pdf. - Use the format the posting asks for. If it does not say, a PDF with real text or a Word file both work on most systems. ### Test it before you send it Two quick checks catch most problems: - The paste test. Select all the text in your CV, copy it and paste it into a plain text editor. If sections run into each other, columns merge, or a heading lands in the wrong place, a parser will have the same trouble. - The free checker. Guap’s ATS CV checker (https://guap.work/tools/ats-cv-checker) runs most of the rules on this page against your PDF or Word file, with no account, and does not keep the file. Each rule it fails comes with a fix. Once your CV reads cleanly, Barista (https://guap.work/about-barista) attaches it to application forms for you, in the CV box and not the cover letter one. ### Questions #### Is a PDF or a Word file better for an ATS? Use what the posting asks for. If it does not say, a PDF with real, selectable text and a Word file both work on most systems. What breaks parsing is the layout, such as columns, text boxes and images, more than the file type. #### Does an ATS reject CVs automatically? Mostly it stores and sorts them, and people read them. What gets filtered out automatically depends on how the employer set it up, usually through the questions on the application form. A CV that parses badly is more likely to be missed in a search than rejected outright. #### Can I use a designed CV template? Only if it keeps to one column, real text and no icons or skill bars. Many good-looking templates use two columns or text boxes, which is exactly what parsers struggle with. Keep a designed version for portfolios and in-person handouts if you like. #### Should a student put education before experience? Yes, while your degree is the strongest thing on the page: Education, then Experience, Projects and Skills. Move Experience up once you have a few years of it. ### Sources - Greenhouse support, Unsuccessful resume parse (2026-03-02, checked 2026-10-13): https://support.greenhouse.io/hc/en-us/articles/200989175-Unsuccessful-resume-parse ## Common job application questions and how to answer them | Guap URL: https://guap.work/blog/common-application-questions Last updated: 2026-10-13 Ten questions application forms keep asking, from “Why do you want to work here?” to salary and visa: what each is checking and how to answer it well. ### Why the same questions keep coming back Most application forms are built in the same few applicant tracking systems, and employers pick their extra questions from the same short list. So after your name and CV, you will meet the same handful of questions again and again. Answer each one well once, keep the answer, and adapt it each time. The questions fall into two kinds. Open questions want a few sentences about you and this employer. Short questions want a fact: a yes or no, a date, a number. Both are below. ### The open questions - “Why do you want to work here?” They are checking that you know what the company does and chose it. Name one specific thing: a product you use, a project they published, the team the role sits in. Then link it to what you want to do. Two or three sentences are enough. Praise that fits any company (“an innovative leader”) is the weakest answer you can give. - “Why should we hire you?” or “What makes you a strong candidate?” Pick the two requirements in the posting you can back up best, and give one piece of evidence for each: what you did and what came of it. For a student, a course project or a part-time job counts. - “Tell us about yourself”, “Personal statement” or “Anything else you would like us to know?” A short cover letter in a box. Say what you are studying or doing now, what you are good at, and why this role is the next step. If you have nothing to add to the last one, leave it empty rather than repeat your CV. The internship cover letter guide (https://guap.work/blog/internship-cover-letter) has a worked example of the same three-part structure. ### The short questions - “Are you legally authorised to work in this country?” Answer for the country where the job is, not where you live. EU citizens can generally work in any EU country; if you are a student on a visa, check what hours and kinds of work it allows. - “Will you now or in the future require visa sponsorship?” Answer honestly. A wrong “no” can end an offer later, when it is found out. - “What are your salary expectations?” Give a range you have checked against similar roles in the same city, with its currency and period (per month or per year). If the posting states pay, stay close to it. The EU’s Pay Transparency Directive says employers must not ask applicants about their pay history (Directive (EU) 2023/970 (https://eur-lex.europa.eu/eli/dir/2023/970/oj)), so a question about your current or past salary is one you can expect to see less often in the EU. - “What is your notice period?” or “When can you start?” Give a date or a number of weeks. For an internship, add the dates you are free and the hours you can work. - “Are you willing to relocate?” or “Can you work on-site?” Answer for this role. A “yes” you would not act on wastes both sides’ time. - “How did you hear about us?” Say where you found the posting. If someone referred you, name them: employers often track referrals. - Demographic questions about gender, ethnicity, disability or veteran status. These are usually optional and often include “Decline to state”. In the US, Greenhouse switches its EEO questionnaire on job post by job post (Greenhouse support (https://support.greenhouse.io/hc/en-us/articles/205278605-Equal-employment-opportunity-and-affirmative-action-overview)). In the EU, data about ethnic origin or health is a special category under the GDPR that may only be processed under specific conditions (GDPR, Article 9 (https://eur-lex.europa.eu/eli/reg/2016/679/oj)). Answering is your choice either way. ### Write it once, then adapt it Keep your answers in one place: a document, a spreadsheet, or your Guap account. The short answers rarely change. The open ones should change a little for each employer, at least the first sentence of “Why do you want to work here?”. Barista (https://guap.work/about-barista), Guap’s Chrome extension, is built around these questions. It fills the short ones from your profile and saved answers, and fills demographic questions only if you have chosen to let it answer each one. For an open question, it puts a button by the box that drafts an answer from your profile and the job post, paid per use; you edit it and keep what you like as a saved answer. It never presses submit. See how it handles Greenhouse (https://guap.work/blog/greenhouse-autofill) and Ashby (https://guap.work/blog/ashby-autofill) forms. ### Questions #### Do I have to answer the demographic questions? They are usually optional and offer an answer such as “Decline to state”. Employers collect them for reporting and to check their hiring is fair. Whether you answer is up to you. #### What if I do not know my salary expectation? Look at what similar roles in the same city pay, starting with postings that state their pay. Give a range rather than one number, with the currency and whether it is per month or per year. The free salary checker on Guap tells you whether a posting states its pay and in what form. #### Should I fill optional open questions? If you have something specific to say, yes: it is space your CV does not give you. If you would only repeat your CV, leave it empty. ### Sources - Directive (EU) 2023/970 on pay transparency, Official Journal of the European Union (2023-05-10): https://eur-lex.europa.eu/eli/dir/2023/970/oj - Regulation (EU) 2016/679, the General Data Protection Regulation (2016-04-27): https://eur-lex.europa.eu/eli/reg/2016/679/oj - Greenhouse support, Equal employment opportunity and affirmative action overview (2026-09-17, checked 2026-10-13): https://support.greenhouse.io/hc/en-us/articles/205278605-Equal-employment-opportunity-and-affirmative-action-overview ## How to connect Guap to ChatGPT and use it to find jobs | Guap URL: https://guap.work/blog/connect-guap-to-chatgpt Last updated: 2026-10-19 Add Guap to ChatGPT as a custom MCP server, step by step. Then ask ChatGPT to find jobs that fit you, review your profile and draft applications. ### Why connect Guap to ChatGPT Plenty of people already ask ChatGPT for help with their job search: rewriting a CV, preparing for an interview, working out what to apply for. The catch is that ChatGPT does not know which jobs are open right now, or anything about you, unless you paste it in. Connecting Guap fixes that. ChatGPT can look up real open roles on Guap, read your profile and keep track of your applications, all from the same chat. You can ask it to: - Find jobs that fit you, with a rough fit score for each one based on your Guap profile. - Explain a job: what it involves, what it asks for and how to apply. - Save jobs to your Guap list for later. - Review your profile and suggest what to add. It shows you each change first. - Tailor your CV to a job, using only facts from your own profile. - Draft an application, which you then approve in Guap before it is sent. - Check on your applications and where each one stands. ### What you need before you start - A Guap job seeker account. Sign up (https://guap.work/signup) with your email if you do not have one. You sign in with a code sent to your inbox. - ChatGPT in a browser. OpenAI's guide has you add a custom MCP server on chatgpt.com. Once it is added, you can use it in the ChatGPT apps too. - Access to custom MCP servers on your plan. OpenAI decides which plans can add one, and that has changed over time. On a Business, Enterprise or Edu workspace, your admin controls it. ### How to add Guap to ChatGPT, step by step - Copy Guap's address. On guap.work/mcp (https://guap.work/mcp?ai=chatgpt), click Copy address and open ChatGPT. The address is https://api.guap.work/user/mcp. - Open Plugins in ChatGPT. On chatgpt.com, open Plugins, click the + button, then Add custom MCP server. - Fill in the details. Name it Guap, paste the address and choose OAuth for authentication. Leave any client ID and secret fields empty: Guap does not need them. Click Add. - Sign in to Guap and approve. ChatGPT opens a Guap page. Sign in with the code from your email, tick what ChatGPT may do and click Approve. If ChatGPT shows Guap with an Install or Connect button first, click it. - Try it. In a new chat, add Guap from the + menu, or type @ and pick Guap. Then ask: "Find me remote junior design roles." ### Questions to ask ChatGPT about jobs There is no special syntax. Ask the way you normally would: - "Find me entry level data analyst jobs in Amsterdam." - "Show me paid internships in marketing and tell me which ones fit me best." - "What does this job actually want? Am I a good match?" - "Look at my Guap profile. What would make it stronger?" - "Tailor my CV to the junior UX role you just found." - "Draft an application for that job. What do you still need from me?" - "Which of my applications are still waiting for a reply?" ### What ChatGPT can see, and what stays private You decide what ChatGPT gets when you connect. On the Guap page, reading jobs, your profile and your CVs, and drafting applications, start ticked. Sending applications and spending credits are never ticked for you. - You approve every application. ChatGPT can prepare one, but to send it, it gives you a link to Guap. You check the answers there, answer the consent questions yourself and approve or decline. - Sensitive details are never shared. Your visa status, gender, ethnicity, disability, veteran status and pronouns stay in Guap. ChatGPT only sees whether you filled them in. - Your contact details are yours to edit. ChatGPT cannot change your name, email, phone or location. - You can see what it did. Guap logs each action, and you can read the list in your settings. Anything ChatGPT reads from Guap is sent to OpenAI and handled under its terms. ### How to disconnect Guap from ChatGPT In Guap, open Settings, then Connected AI apps, and disconnect ChatGPT. That page also lists what ChatGPT did while it was connected. You can remove the Guap plugin in ChatGPT as well, from your plugins. ### If it does not work - There is no Add custom MCP server option. Your plan or your workspace may not allow custom servers. On a work account, ask your ChatGPT admin. - ChatGPT asks for a client ID or secret. Make sure OAuth is selected and leave both fields empty. - Guap says this account cannot connect apps. Only job seeker accounts can connect an AI for now. Sign in with your job seeker account. - The Guap page says the link has expired. Start the connection again from ChatGPT. - ChatGPT answers without using Guap. Add Guap to the chat from the + menu or with @, then ask again. ### Questions #### Can ChatGPT apply to jobs for me? ChatGPT can find the job and draft the application with the answers Guap already has. To send it, ChatGPT gives you a link to a Guap page where you review every answer and approve. It cannot send an application on its own. #### Is there a ChatGPT plugin for job search? Guap works as one. You add it to ChatGPT as a custom MCP server, and it then shows up in your plugins. From there ChatGPT can search open jobs on Guap, read your profile and help you apply. #### Does connecting Guap to ChatGPT cost anything? Connecting is free on the Guap side. Searching, saving jobs, reading your profile and sending applications through Guap are free too. Anything that costs credits in Guap, like tailoring a CV, costs the same here, and only if you allowed spending when you connected. #### Can I use Guap in the ChatGPT app on my phone? Add Guap on chatgpt.com in a browser first. After that it is part of your ChatGPT account, so you can use it in the ChatGPT apps as well. #### What is a custom MCP server in ChatGPT? MCP, the Model Context Protocol, is an open standard that lets an AI assistant use tools and data from other apps. A custom MCP server is one you add yourself by its address. Guap's address is https://api.guap.work/user/mcp. #### Will ChatGPT see my personal information? It sees what you allow when you connect: jobs, your applications and, if you tick them, your profile and CV text. Drafting applications lets it see the answers Guap would fill in, such as your email and phone. Sensitive details like visa status, gender or disability are never shared. #### Which jobs does ChatGPT find through Guap? The open jobs on Guap, both posted by employers on Guap and collected from company careers sites. Each comes with a rough fit score from your profile, which is an estimate and not a promise of an interview. ### Sources - OpenAI: Add custom MCP server (checked 2026-10-19): https://developers.openai.com/api/docs/guides/custom-mcp-server - Model Context Protocol: Introduction (checked 2026-10-19): https://modelcontextprotocol.io/docs/getting-started/intro - Guap: Connect your AI (checked 2026-10-19): https://guap.work/mcp ## How to connect Guap to Claude and search for jobs in your chat | Guap URL: https://guap.work/blog/connect-guap-to-claude Last updated: 2026-10-19 Add Guap to Claude as a custom connector in a minute. Then ask Claude to find jobs that fit you, check your profile and draft applications you approve. ### What Claude can do for your job search once Guap is connected Claude is good at talking things through. Guap has the jobs, your profile and your applications. Connect the two and you can run your job search from a normal Claude chat, without copying job ads back and forth. Once Guap is connected, you can ask Claude to: - Find jobs that fit you. Claude searches the open roles on Guap and sees a rough fit score for each one, worked out from your Guap profile. - Explain a role. Ask what a job really involves, what it asks for and how you would apply. - Save jobs to your list, so they are waiting in Guap later. - Check your profile. Claude can read it, point out what is missing and suggest changes. It shows you each change before making it. - Work on your CV. Claude can read your CVs and help you tailor one to a job, using only facts from your own profile. - Draft an application. Claude fills in what Guap already knows and tells you what is still missing. You approve it in Guap before it goes anywhere. - Tell you where things stand with the applications you have sent. ### What you need before you start - A Guap job seeker account. If you do not have one yet, sign up (https://guap.work/signup) with your email. Guap signs you in with a code sent to your inbox, so there is no password to remember. - A Claude account. Claude says custom connectors work on its Free, Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise plans. On the Free plan you can have one custom connector at a time. - A browser. Add the connector on claude.ai or in Claude Desktop. On a Claude Team or Enterprise plan, an owner of your organization adds the connector first. After that, you connect to it yourself from the same Connectors page. ### How to add Guap to Claude, step by step - Open the Guap setup page and click Add to Claude. Go to guap.work/mcp (https://guap.work/mcp?ai=claude). The button opens Claude with the connector name and address already filled in. - Check the details and click Add. The name should be Guap and the address should be https://api.guap.work/user/mcp. - Sign in to Guap and approve. Claude opens a Guap page. Sign in with the code from your email, tick what Claude may do, and click Approve. If no Guap page opens, click Connect next to Guap on the Connectors page. - Ask Claude about jobs. Start a new chat and ask something like "Find me junior marketing jobs in Berlin". Claude uses Guap to answer. Prefer to add it by hand? In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors. Click + Add, then Add custom connector. Name it Guap, paste https://api.guap.work/user/mcp as the address and click Add. You do not need anything under Advanced settings. If Claude does not use Guap in a chat, click the + button at the bottom left of the chat, open Connectors and check that Guap is switched on for that conversation. ### Things to ask Claude once Guap is connected Talk to it the way you would talk to a friend who knows the job market. Some prompts to try: - "Find me remote junior design jobs and rank them by how well they fit my profile." - "Which of these roles would suit someone who just finished a business degree?" - "What is missing from my Guap profile that employers usually ask for?" - "Save the second and third jobs to my list." - "Help me tailor my CV for the product analyst role." - "Draft an application for the top one and tell me what you still need from me." - "Where are my applications at? Has anyone replied?" ### You stay in control: what Claude can see and do When you connect, Guap shows you a page that lists what Claude is asking for, and you choose. Reading jobs, your profile and your CVs, and drafting applications, start ticked. Sending applications and spending credits never start ticked: you have to choose them yourself. - Nothing goes to an employer without you. When Claude wants to send an application, it gives you a link to a Guap page. There you check every answer, fill in the consent questions yourself and approve or decline. - Sensitive details stay out. Claude never sees your visa status, gender, ethnicity, disability, veteran status or pronouns. It only learns whether you have filled them in. - Some things only you can change. Claude cannot edit your name, email, phone or location. You change those in Guap. - Every action is logged. Guap keeps a list of what Claude did, which you can read in your settings. Whatever Claude reads from Guap is sent to Anthropic, the company behind Claude, and is handled under its terms. ### How to disconnect Guap from Claude You can stop it at any time, from either side: - In Guap: open Settings, then Connected AI apps, and disconnect Claude. The same page shows what Claude did while it was connected. - In Claude: open Customize, then Connectors, and click Remove next to Guap, or use the three dots beside it. ### If it does not work - Claude says you have reached your connector limit. On the Free plan you can have one custom connector. Remove the one you have, or move to a paid Claude plan. - Guap says this account cannot connect apps. Only job seeker accounts can connect an AI to Guap for now. Sign in with your job seeker account instead of a business account. - The Guap page says the link has expired. Sign-in links last a short time. Go back to Connectors in Claude and connect again. - You do not see Add custom connector at work. On Team and Enterprise plans, ask an owner of your Claude organization to add Guap first. - Claude answers without Guap. Check Guap is switched on for the chat under + and Connectors, or simply ask "Use Guap to find..." ### Questions #### Can Claude apply to jobs for me? Claude can find a job, prepare the application and fill in what Guap already knows. It cannot send it on its own: Claude gives you a link to a Guap page where you check every answer and approve it. Nothing reaches the employer until you do. #### Is it free to connect Guap to Claude? Yes. Connecting costs nothing on the Guap side, and searching jobs, saving them, reading your profile and sending an application through Guap are free. Something that costs credits in Guap, like tailoring a CV, costs the same through Claude, and only if you allowed spending when you connected. #### Do I need Claude Pro to use Guap in Claude? No. Claude lists custom connectors on its Free plan too, with a limit of one custom connector. If you already use another one on the Free plan, you would need to remove it or upgrade. #### Which jobs can Claude find through Guap? The open jobs on Guap: roles employers post on Guap and roles Guap collects from company careers sites. Each one comes with a rough fit score from your profile. It is an estimate of fit, not a promise of an interview. #### What is a Claude connector, or an MCP server? A connector lets Claude use another app. It works through MCP, the Model Context Protocol, an open standard for connecting AI assistants to tools and data. Guap runs an MCP server at https://api.guap.work/user/mcp, and adding it to Claude is what gives Claude access to Guap. #### Is it safe to give Claude access to my Guap account? You sign in on a Guap page and choose what Claude may do there. Claude never sees sensitive details like visa status or disability, cannot change your name or contact details, and cannot send an application without your approval in Guap. You can disconnect it at any time from Settings, Connected AI apps. #### Does Guap work in the Claude mobile app? Add the connector on claude.ai or in Claude Desktop first. Connectors belong to your Claude account, and Claude's help center says their connections run from its cloud for the mobile apps too, so you can keep asking about jobs on your phone. ### Sources - Claude Help Center: Get started with custom connectors using remote MCP (checked 2026-10-19): https://support.claude.com/en/articles/11175166-get-started-with-custom-connectors-using-remote-mcp - Model Context Protocol: Introduction (checked 2026-10-19): https://modelcontextprotocol.io/docs/getting-started/intro - Guap: Connect your AI (checked 2026-10-19): https://guap.work/mcp ## How to spot a ghost job before you apply | Guap URL: https://guap.work/blog/how-to-spot-ghost-jobs Last updated: 2026-10-12 A ghost job is a listing for a role nobody plans to fill. Seven signs to check before you apply, what to ask, and how common ghost jobs are, with sources. ### What a ghost job is A ghost job is a listing for a role the company is not really trying to fill. Some are left up by mistake after the role is filled or the budget is cut. Others stay up on purpose: to collect CVs for later, or to make the company look like it is growing. It is not the same thing as a scam. A scam wants your money or your personal details. A ghost job only wants your time, and it usually gets it. ### How common they are Nobody can count ghost jobs directly, because the only people who know a role is not real are the people who posted it. Two numbers give a sense of the scale: - Greenhouse (https://www.greenhouse.com/blog/greenhouse-2024-state-of-job-hunting-report), which makes hiring software for employers, says that in any given quarter 18 to 22% of the jobs posted on its platform are classified as ghost jobs. In the same report, three in five candidates said they suspect they have come across one (December 2024). - In a Resume Builder survey of hiring managers (https://www.resumebuilder.com/3-in-10-companies-currently-have-fake-job-posting-listed/) launched in May 2024 (649 completed it), 40% said their company had posted a job it did not intend to fill in the past year, and 3 in 10 said their company had one up at the time. The second figure comes from managers describing their own companies, so read it as a rough guide rather than a count. ### Seven signs a listing may be a ghost - It has been up for months, or keeps coming back. A role that is still open long after you first saw it, or that vanishes and reappears with a new date, is worth a second look. Write down the day you first saw it. - The company’s own careers page does not have it. Search the company’s careers site for the job title. If the role is on a job board but not on the company’s own site, it may have been closed there and left up everywhere else. - The description could fit any team. No team, no manager, no project and no start date, only a list of qualities. A real opening usually says what you would work on first. - There is no pay, not even a range. On its own this proves nothing: plenty of real employers still leave pay out. In the EU that is changing. Under the Pay Transparency Directive (https://eur-lex.europa.eu/eli/dir/2023/970/oj), employers have to tell applicants the starting pay or its range, in the job ad or before the interview, and member states had until 7 June 2026 to write that into national law. - The company has just announced a hiring freeze or layoffs. A news search for the company’s name takes a minute and can save you an evening. - It talks about a “talent pool” or “future opportunities”. These listings are honest about what they are, but they are not an opening you can get this month. - Nobody can tell you what happens next. If a recruiter cannot name the hiring manager, the next step or a rough start date, the role may not have a budget yet. ### What to do before you apply None of these signs proves anything by itself. Two or three together are a good reason to put your time somewhere else first. - Apply on the company’s own site when you can. It is the copy most likely to be current, and it goes straight to the people hiring. - Ask one plain question. “When are you hoping to have someone start?” A real opening usually has an answer. - Start with the newest listings. Leave the ones that have been up for months until last. - Keep a record. Note where you applied, when, and when you will follow up. A role that never answers a polite follow-up has told you something too. ### How Guap handles ghost jobs Guap lists two kinds of roles. Jobs posted on Guap come from employers who confirmed a code sent to their company email before they could post. Guap also lists roles from company careers sites, checks them again, and closes each one once the company takes it down. That cannot make every listing a sure thing: a company can leave a role up on its own site long after it stopped hiring for it. So the habits above still apply. If you use Barista (https://guap.work/about-barista), Guap’s Chrome extension, each application it fills is saved with its date, so you can see which ones have gone quiet and when to follow up. ### Questions #### Is a ghost job the same as a job scam? No. A scam is after your money or your personal details, for example by asking you to pay for training or equipment. A ghost job is a real company’s listing for a role it is not filling right now. Both waste your time, but only a scam is trying to take something from you. #### Should I still apply if a listing might be a ghost job? If you really want to work there, a quick application costs little. Just do not wait on it: keep applying elsewhere, and follow up once before you let it go. #### Does a missing salary mean the job is fake? Not on its own. Many real employers still leave pay out of their ads. It is one sign among several, and it counts for more when it comes with the others in this guide. ### Sources - Greenhouse, 2024 State of Job Hunting report (2024-12-10): https://www.greenhouse.com/blog/greenhouse-2024-state-of-job-hunting-report - Resume Builder, 3 in 10 companies currently have fake job posting listed (2024-06-18): https://www.resumebuilder.com/3-in-10-companies-currently-have-fake-job-posting-listed/ - Directive (EU) 2023/970 on pay transparency, Official Journal of the European Union (2023-05-10): https://eur-lex.europa.eu/eli/dir/2023/970/oj ## How to write an internship cover letter with little experience | Guap URL: https://guap.work/blog/internship-cover-letter Last updated: 2026-10-13 A one-page structure for an internship cover letter, what to write when your CV is short, a worked example, and the mistakes that get a letter skipped. ### What the letter is for Your CV lists what you have done. The cover letter says why that makes sense for this role at this company. For an internship this matters more than it does later on: your CV is short, so the letter is where you show that you read the posting and thought about it. Nobody reading an internship application expects years of experience. They are looking for three things: that you want this role and not just any role, that you can do the first few weeks of it, and that you will turn up when you say you will. ### Before you write a word - Pick two requirements you can back up. Read the posting and underline what it asks for. Choose the two where you have something real to show, even if it comes from a course or a side project. Two with proof beat six with none. - Find one specific thing about the company. A product you have used, a project on their blog, the team the internship sits in. One sentence about it shows more interest than a paragraph of praise. - Check the practical details. Dates, hours, location, whether it is paid, and which language the posting is written in. Write the letter in that language unless the posting says otherwise. - Look for a name. If the posting or the company’s site names the recruiter or the team lead, address the letter to them. ### A structure that fits on one page Europass (https://europass.europa.eu/en/create-europass-cover-letter), the EU’s CV and cover letter service, recommends a letter of no more than one page in three short paragraphs: why you are applying, why you suit the role, and why the company suits you. For an internship, this order works well: - Opening. Name the internship and say in one or two sentences why this company, using the specific thing you found. Skip “I am writing to apply for”; the reader already knows. - Proof. Take your two requirements and give one example for each: what you did, how, and what came of it. Name the course, the project or the job, so the reader can find it on your CV. - Close. Say when you are available (start date, hours a week, how long), where you can work from, and that you would like to talk. Thank them in one line. Keep the tone polite and plain, and use a normal, readable font. If the application form has a text box rather than an upload, the same three parts work there too. ### What to write when your CV is short Experience does not have to be a job. Each of these can carry a paragraph if you say what you did and what came of it: - A course project. Say what you built or analysed, the tools you used and your part in the group. - A side project. Something you made because you wanted to, with a link if it is public. - A part-time or summer job. Serving customers, handling cash or working shifts shows reliability, which an internship needs as much as skill. - A student society or volunteering role. Organising an event, running a budget or recruiting members are real work. Be exact rather than impressive. “Wrote the data cleaning scripts for a four-person course project” is more believable than “passionate about data”, and it gives the interviewer something to ask about. ### A worked example A made-up student, Ana, applies for a data internship at a made-up logistics company, Northwind. The letter is short on purpose: Dear Ms Ionescu, Northwind’s post on cutting empty truck kilometres is why I am applying for the data analysis internship. I am in my second year of computer science and I would like to spend the summer on a problem with real routes and real costs behind it. The posting asks for SQL and for someone who can explain numbers to people who do not work with them. This spring I wrote the queries for a course project that matched delivery records against warehouse stock for a local shop, and found the products it ran out of most often. I presented the result to the shop’s owner, who changed two of her weekly orders because of it. I can start on 1 July and work full time until mid-September, in the Cluj office or remotely. I would be glad to talk about the role, and thank you for reading. Ana Pop It names the post that caught her eye, proves the two things the posting asks for with one project, and answers the practical questions before they are asked. ### Mistakes that get a letter skipped - The wrong company name. A sure sign of a copied letter. Read the names out loud before you send. - Repeating the CV line by line. Pick two things and explain them; the CV does the listing. - Talking only about what you will gain. Say what you want to learn, but spend more words on what you can already do for them. - Praise that fits any company. “An industry leader with a great culture” says nothing. One specific detail says a lot. - More than a page. If it runs over, cut the opening and the adjectives first. ### Drafting with Barista Barista (https://guap.work/about-barista), Guap’s Chrome extension, can draft a cover letter against the posting you have open, from the profile on your Guap account. Treat the draft as a starting point: check every claim in it is true, add the one specific detail only you know, and cut what does not sound like you. Drafts are paid per use from credit you buy once; the pricing page (https://guap.work/pricing) lists the price. Whatever you use to write it, do not send a sentence you could not explain in an interview. ### Questions #### Should I send a cover letter if it says optional? Yes, when you have a real reason to want that internship. With a short CV, a good letter is one of the few ways to stand out. If you are applying widely and have nothing specific to say, a generic letter adds little, so spend the time on the applications you care about most. #### How long should an internship cover letter be? No more than one page, which Europass also recommends. Three short paragraphs are usually enough: why this company, proof for two of the requirements, and when you are available. #### Who do I address it to if I cannot find a name? Use the team or the role, for example “Dear Data team” or “Dear hiring team”. It reads better than “To whom it may concern”, and nobody will mark you down for not finding a name that is not published. #### Can I use the same letter for several internships? You can reuse the parts about you, such as the project paragraph. The opening and the choice of requirements should change for each application, because they are what show you read the posting. ### Sources - Europass, Create your Europass cover letter (checked 2026-10-13): https://europass.europa.eu/en/create-europass-cover-letter ## Autofill Ashby job applications with Barista | Guap URL: https://guap.work/blog/ashby-autofill Last updated: 2026-10-13 How an Ashby application form is built, what Barista fills on it (Yes/No buttons, location and CV included), what it leaves to you, and how to set it up. ### How an Ashby application form works Ashby is an applicant tracking system used by many startups and tech companies. Its job posts live at addresses on jobs.ashbyhq.com, and companies often embed the same form in their own careers page. Each employer builds its form from Ashby’s field types. Ashby’s documentation lists short and long answers, phone, email, multiple choice, checkboxes, date, yes or no, number, CV and file uploads, location, links and education history (Ashby docs (https://docs.ashbyhq.com/application-forms)). A typical form asks for your full name in one box, your email, your CV, your LinkedIn or GitHub, then the employer’s own questions. Three things trip up a plain autofill tool on Ashby: - Yes/No questions are buttons, not radio buttons. Next to them sits a hidden tick box that mirrors the answer; ticking it changes nothing you can see. - The location box is a “Start typing” search that only offers places once you type. - “Select all that apply” questions are a set of tick boxes, each named after its own option rather than the question. ### What Barista fills - The text fields from your Guap profile: name, email, phone, links. Ashby’s single “full name” box is matched on Guap’s side rather than guessed, because a box called “name” is a first name on some forms and a full name on others. - Yes/No buttons. Barista presses the button that matches your answer, then waits for the form to show it as selected. If the form never confirms the click, Barista reports that question as not filled instead of pretending. - Tick box groups, matched against the whole question, so each of your answers ticks its own box. - The location search, by typing your location and choosing the match it offers. - Your CV, from your Guap account. Ashby sometimes rebuilds its upload box while the other fields fill; Barista notices and attaches the CV to the new box. For a long-answer question, Barista puts a button by the box that drafts an answer from your profile and the job post, with an undo. Filling the form is free; a drafted answer is paid per use from credit, at the price on the pricing page (https://guap.work/pricing). ### What it leaves to you - The submit button. Barista never presses it, and it never clicks a button that does not say what state it is in, which is how it tells a Yes/No answer from Submit. - Questions without a clear answer. If nothing on your profile matches, the question stays empty and Barista counts it for you. - Extra files. Barista attaches your CV only. A portfolio, transcript or cover letter file is yours to add. - Anything you already typed. Barista never overwrites a filled field. ### How Barista is tested on Ashby Barista’s tests use an Ashby form captured from a live, embedded job post in August 2026, plus test forms built to match the Yes/No buttons, tick box groups and location search of live Ashby pages. They check that the form is found, that the right Yes/No button is pressed and confirmed, that the hidden mirror box is left alone, that each answer in a group ticks its own box, and that a rebuilt upload box still gets the CV. Each Ashby employer adds its own questions, so a new form can still ask something Barista has no answer for. It leaves that question for you. ### Set it up - Install Barista from the Chrome Web Store (https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/gpfgefappeohnknhabmplkblodjpopam). It also installs in Edge, Brave, Arc and Opera from the same listing. - Sign in from the extension with the code Guap emails you, and fill in your profile and CV once. - Open an Ashby job post and its application form. Press “Fill with Guap” in the corner, or “Autofill this page” in the extension. - Check the answers, fill what is left, and press submit. Barista saves the application to your tracker and marks it sent. ### Questions #### Why do some autofill tools miss Ashby’s Yes/No questions? Because they are buttons, not radio buttons, with a hidden tick box beside them. A tool that ticks the hidden box sees the field as filled while the form shows nothing selected. Barista presses the visible button and waits for the form to confirm it. #### Does Barista submit Ashby applications for me? No. Barista fills the form when you ask and you press submit yourself. It notices the submit so it can mark the application as sent in your tracker. #### Does it work on Ashby forms embedded in a company’s careers page? Yes. The captured form Barista is tested on is one of those: an Ashby form embedded in a company’s own careers page. #### Is autofilling Ashby free? Yes. Installing Barista, filling forms, attaching your CV and tracking applications are free. AI drafts for open questions and cover letters are paid per use from credit you buy once. ### Sources - Ashby docs, Application forms (checked 2026-10-13): https://docs.ashbyhq.com/application-forms - Barista on the Chrome Web Store (checked 2026-10-13): https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/gpfgefappeohnknhabmplkblodjpopam ## Autofill Greenhouse job applications with Barista | Guap URL: https://guap.work/blog/greenhouse-autofill Last updated: 2026-10-13 How a Greenhouse application form is built, what Barista fills on it (dropdowns and CV included), what it leaves to you, and how to set it up in Chrome. ### How a Greenhouse application form works Greenhouse is an applicant tracking system: the employer posts the job in Greenhouse, and your application lands there. You meet its form in one of two places. Either on a Greenhouse job board page, at an address on greenhouse.io, or inside the company’s own careers page, where the same form is embedded in a frame. The form usually has the same core: your name, email and phone (with a country picker), where you live, a CV upload, an optional cover letter upload, and links such as LinkedIn. After that come the employer’s own questions, which can be anything: “Why do you want to work here?”, whether you need a visa, when you can start. Many US job posts end with demographic questions about gender, ethnicity, veteran status and disability. Greenhouse says its EEO questionnaire is switched on job post by job post and appears when you apply through the employer’s job board (Greenhouse support (https://support.greenhouse.io/hc/en-us/articles/205278605-Equal-employment-opportunity-and-affirmative-action-overview)). Two details make Greenhouse awkward to autofill. The dropdowns are not ordinary browser menus: they are custom widgets whose options do not exist on the page until the menu is opened, and clicking the text box does not open them. And the fields often have no name in the page’s code, so a tool has to work out what each one is from its label. ### What Barista fills - The text fields from your Guap profile: name, email, phone (kept exactly as you saved it), location, links. Barista writes them the way the form’s own code expects, so the values stay put when the page re-renders. - The custom dropdowns. Barista opens each one, waits for its options, picks the one that matches your answer, then checks the widget really shows it. It knows that your “Man” is Greenhouse’s “Male” and your “Prefer not to say” is its “Decline to state”. It picks only when exactly one option fits, so “Female” can never be chosen for “Male”. - Your CV, attached to the resume box from the CV on your Guap account. Never to the cover letter box, and never over a file you already chose. - Embedded forms. Barista runs inside the frame on the company’s careers page, and waits for the frame to finish loading before it reads the form. - Saved answers. Questions you have answered before, such as notice period or visa status, come from the answers saved on your account. For an open question like “Why do you want to work here?”, Barista puts a button by the box. Press it and it drafts an answer from your profile and the job post, in the box, with an undo. Filling the form is free; a drafted answer is paid per use from credit, at the price on the pricing page (https://guap.work/pricing). ### What it leaves to you - The submit button. Barista never presses it. You read the form and send it yourself. - Anything it is not sure of. If no option clearly matches your answer, the field stays empty and Barista tells you how many need you. An empty field is easy to fill; a wrong one is easy to miss. - Demographic questions, unless you have chosen to let Barista answer each one from your profile. - A cover letter file. Barista attaches only your CV. If the employer asks for a letter, upload it yourself, or paste one into a text box if the form has one. - Anything you already typed. A filled field is never overwritten. - Security checks. Barista never touches CAPTCHA, password or one-time code boxes. ### Before you apply: your CV file Greenhouse reads your CV to fill the candidate record on the employer’s side. Its support pages say it cannot parse a CV larger than 2.5 MB, and that graphics, photos, tables, headers and footers, and column layouts can stop a parse (Greenhouse support (https://support.greenhouse.io/hc/en-us/articles/200989175-Unsuccessful-resume-parse)). A single-column PDF or Word file with real text is the safe choice. The free ATS CV checker (https://guap.work/tools/ats-cv-checker) tests those layout rules without an account, and the ATS-friendly CV guide (https://guap.work/blog/ats-friendly-cv) explains each one. ### How Barista is tested on Greenhouse Barista’s tests run against a Greenhouse form captured from a live, embedded job post in August 2026: its fields, its dropdowns and its options as Greenhouse serves them. The tests check that the form is found inside the frame, that every field is identified without a name attribute, that the CV goes to the resume box and not the cover letter, that the phone number’s country list is never mistaken for an answer, and that each dropdown picks the right option or none. Greenhouse lets each employer add its own questions, so no test covers every form. When Barista meets one it cannot answer, it leaves it for you. - Open a Greenhouse job post and go to its application form. Press “Fill with Guap” in the corner, or “Autofill this page” in the extension. - Check every field, answer what is left, and press submit. Barista adds the application to your tracker and marks it sent. ### Questions #### Does Barista submit Greenhouse applications for me? No. It fills the form when you ask it to and stops there. You review the answers and press submit yourself; Barista only notices that you did, so it can mark the application as sent. #### Does it work when the Greenhouse form is on the company’s own careers site? Yes. Many companies embed the Greenhouse form in a frame on their own site. Barista runs inside that frame and waits for it to load before it fills anything. #### Why did a dropdown stay empty? Barista only picks an option when exactly one matches the answer on your profile. If none matches, or two could, it leaves the dropdown for you rather than guess. Saving that answer on your profile helps the next form. #### Is autofilling Greenhouse free? Yes. Installing Barista, filling forms, attaching your CV and tracking applications are free. Only AI drafts, such as an answer to an open question or a cover letter, are paid per use from credit you buy once. ### Sources - Greenhouse support, Equal employment opportunity and affirmative action overview (2026-09-17, checked 2026-10-13): https://support.greenhouse.io/hc/en-us/articles/205278605-Equal-employment-opportunity-and-affirmative-action-overview - Greenhouse support, Unsuccessful resume parse (2026-03-02, checked 2026-10-13): https://support.greenhouse.io/hc/en-us/articles/200989175-Unsuccessful-resume-parse - Barista on the Chrome Web Store (checked 2026-10-13): https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/gpfgefappeohnknhabmplkblodjpopam ## Barista vs Huntr: autofill and job tracking compared | Guap URL: https://guap.work/blog/barista-vs-huntr Last updated: 2026-10-15 Barista and Huntr side by side: tracking, autofill, resumes, phone apps and price, with sources, and who each one suits. ### The short answer Barista is Guap’s Chrome extension for filling application forms, and filling forms and tracking applications with it are free. Each application it fills goes into a tracker with its date, so the tracking comes from applying rather than from typing it in. AI drafts are paid one at a time from credit that never expires. Behind it is Guap, a job platform for students and early-career people in Europe. Huntr is a job search organiser first: a board of the jobs you are tracking, with resumes, cover letters, contacts and interviews around it, a Chrome extension that saves jobs and fills applications, and phone apps. It also sells to universities, bootcamps and career coaches. ### Side by side What each one does, as of 13 October 2026. (source: https://huntr.co/privacy) | ### Where Barista is better - The tracker fills itself. Barista records each application as it fills it, and marks it sent when you submit, so you do not keep a board by hand. - No cap on tracking. Every application Barista fills is tracked for free, however many there are. Huntr’s free plan tracks up to 100 jobs. - No subscription. AI drafts are paid one at a time from credit that does not expire; the pricing page (https://guap.work/pricing) lists each price. Huntr’s unlimited AI comes with Pro, billed every one, three or six months. - Jobs in Europe. Guap lists roles for students and graduates in Europe, and its free tools (https://guap.work/tools), including a job application tracker spreadsheet, need no account. ### Where Huntr differs - A fuller organiser. Huntr’s board, contacts, interview tracker and map cover a long search, including jobs you have not applied to yet. Barista’s tracker records the applications you send. - Phone apps on iPhone and Android. Barista has none yet. - Resume tools. Building and tailoring resumes is part of the product. - Through your school. Huntr works with universities, bootcamps and coaches (Huntr (https://huntr.co/)), so your career centre may already give you access. - Track record. On 13 October 2026 its store listing showed a 4.8 rating from about 1,300 ratings and 90,000 users (store listing (https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/huntr-job-search-tracker/mihdfbecejheednfigjpdacgeilhlmnf)). ### Which one to pick Pick Barista if most of your time goes on filling application forms, if you are applying in Europe, or if you want tracking that records itself as you apply. Pick Huntr if you want one place to organise a long search, with contacts and interviews, a phone app, and resume tools, or if your school already gives you Huntr. ### How we compared Guap makes Barista and wrote this page, so read it knowing that. We read Huntr’s pricing, autofill, mobile and privacy pages and its Chrome Web Store listing on 13 October 2026, and every claim about Huntr links to the page that makes it. What this page says about Barista is what its code does on that date. If something has changed, write to friend@guap.work and we will correct it. ### Questions #### Is Huntr free? Huntr has a free plan that tracks up to 100 jobs, with unlimited autofills and a small number of AI credits. Pro removes the job limit and the AI limits, and Huntr says it has no trial period. #### Does Barista track applications like Huntr? Barista tracks the applications it fills: each one is saved with its date, marked sent when you submit, and shown on a calendar with interview reminders. It is not a board for jobs you have not applied to yet. #### Which one is better for students? It depends on where the time goes. If you are applying to many roles in Europe and the forms are the slow part, Barista and Guap fit better. If you need help organising a search and writing resumes, Huntr does more. ### Sources - Huntr, home page (checked 2026-10-13): https://huntr.co/ - Huntr, Pricing (checked 2026-10-13): https://huntr.co/pricing - Huntr, Job application autofill (checked 2026-10-13): https://huntr.co/product/job-application-autofill - Huntr, Mobile apps (checked 2026-10-13): https://huntr.co/mobile - Huntr, Privacy policy (2024-02-08, checked 2026-10-13): https://huntr.co/privacy - Huntr on the Chrome Web Store (checked 2026-10-13): https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/huntr-job-search-tracker/mihdfbecejheednfigjpdacgeilhlmnf ## Barista vs Jobright: autofill and job search compared | Guap URL: https://guap.work/blog/barista-vs-jobright Last updated: 2026-10-15 Barista and Jobright side by side: where each finds jobs, how each fills and applies, what each costs, with sources, and who each one suits. ### The short answer Barista is Guap’s Chrome extension for students and graduates applying in Europe. It fills application forms on careers sites and leaves submit to you, and it comes with Guap, a job platform that lists roles for students and early-career people in Europe. Each AI draft has its price on the pricing page (https://guap.work/pricing), paid from credit that never expires. Jobright is a US job search service built around AI: it matches you to jobs from its own large database, tailors your resume, fills applications with a Chrome extension, and offers an agent that applies for you. It says plainly that it covers US-based roles only for now. So the first question is where you are applying: the two barely overlap. ### Side by side What each one does, as of 13 October 2026. Barista and Jobright compared, checked on 13 October 2026: | | Barista | Jobright | | --- | --- | --- | | Where the jobs are | Guap lists jobs and internships for students and early-career people in Europe, from employers who verified their company email and from company careers sites. | US-based roles only for now; Jobright says global expansion is underway. (source: https://jobright.ai/ai-agent) | | Price | Installing, filling forms and tracking applications are free. AI drafts are paid per use from credit you buy once, which never expires. Nothing renews. | Each feature comes with free credits every day, and a paid option gives unlimited use. No public price list: the terms say the price and billing period are shown at checkout. (source: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/jobright-ai-job-search/id6738236788) | | Your data | Guap does not sell personal data or use it for advertising. Barista sends form questions, not what you type, to match them. | Jobright says it has not sold or shared personal information in the preceding twelve months. (source: https://jobright.ai/legal/privacy) | ### Where Barista is better - Built for Europe. Guap lists jobs and internships for students and graduates in Europe. Jobright does not cover them yet: it says it supports US-based roles only for now (Jobright Agent (https://jobright.ai/ai-agent)). - Prices you can see before you pay. Each AI action has a price on the pricing page (https://guap.work/pricing), and the credit you buy never expires or renews. Jobright publishes no price list: its terms say the price is shown at checkout (terms of service (https://jobright.ai/legal/service)). - You send every application. Barista fills the form and stops. Nothing reaches an employer that you have not read. - Clear about what it has tested. Barista names the two systems it is tested on, Greenhouse (https://guap.work/blog/greenhouse-autofill) and Ashby (https://guap.work/blog/ashby-autofill), and leaves a field empty when it is not sure. Jobright claims “all major ATSs” without naming them. - Your answers stay with you. To match a form, Barista sends its questions, not what you type. Guap does not sell personal data or use it for advertising. ### Where Jobright differs - A US job search in one product. Matching, resume tailoring, referrals and an autofill extension sit together, on top of its own large database of US jobs. - An agent that applies for you. Jobright’s agent sends applications in volume; Barista leaves submit to you on purpose. - Free credits every day. Each Jobright feature comes with daily free credits. Barista gives each account a few free AI answers, then charges per draft. - A phone app, and a store listing that showed a 4.9 rating from 376 ratings and 300,000 users on 13 October 2026 (store listing (https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/jobright-autofill-%E2%80%93-insta/odcnpipkhjegpefkfplmedhmkmmhmoko)). Barista is new and has no phone app yet. ### Which one to pick Pick Barista if you are a student or graduate applying in Europe, if you want to read and send each application yourself, or if you prefer paying per draft, at prices you see first, over a plan. Pick Jobright if you are looking for work in the US, want one service to find, tailor and apply, or want an agent to send applications in volume. ### How we compared Guap makes Barista and wrote this page, so read it knowing that. We read Jobright’s own pages, its terms, its privacy policy and its store listings on 13 October 2026, and every claim about Jobright links to the page that makes it. Jobright does not publish its prices, so this page does not quote any. What it says about Barista is what its code does on that date. If something here has changed, write to friend@guap.work and we will correct it. ### Questions #### Does Jobright work for jobs in Europe? Not yet, by its own account: its agent page says it currently supports US-based opportunities and that global expansion is underway. Its iPhone app says the same. #### How much does Jobright cost? Jobright gives free credits for each feature every day and sells a paid plan with unlimited use. It publishes no price list; its terms say the price, currency and billing period are shown at checkout. #### Does Barista apply to jobs for me like Jobright’s agent? No. Barista fills the application when you click and you press submit. It has no auto-apply mode, on purpose. ### Sources - Jobright, home page (checked 2026-10-13): https://jobright.ai/ - Jobright, AI agent (checked 2026-10-13): https://jobright.ai/ai-agent - Jobright, Job autofill (checked 2026-10-13): https://jobright.ai/job-autofill - Jobright, Terms of service (2026-07-29, checked 2026-10-13): https://jobright.ai/legal/service - Jobright, Privacy policy (2026-06-15, checked 2026-10-13): https://jobright.ai/legal/privacy - Jobright on the App Store (checked 2026-10-13): https://apps.apple.com/us/app/jobright-ai-job-search/id6738236788 - Jobright Autofill on the Chrome Web Store (checked 2026-10-13): https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/jobright-autofill-%E2%80%93-insta/odcnpipkhjegpefkfplmedhmkmmhmoko ## Barista vs LazyApply: fill and review, or auto-apply | Guap URL: https://guap.work/blog/barista-vs-lazyapply Last updated: 2026-10-15 Barista fills applications for you to send; LazyApply sends them in bulk. Price, volume and control compared, with sources, and who each one suits. ### The short answer Barista fills one application form at a time when you ask, and you read it and press submit. It is designed for applications you would stand behind in an interview. Filling forms is free, and you pay only for the AI drafts you ask for, from credit that never expires. LazyApply disagrees about the basic job. It is built to send applications for you, in bulk: its plans are priced by how many applications a day it sends, and billed yearly. If what you want is the largest number of applications for the least time, LazyApply is designed for that and Barista is not. ### Side by side What each one does, as of 13 October 2026. Barista and LazyApply compared, checked on 13 October 2026: | | Barista | LazyApply | | --- | --- | --- | | How it applies | Fills the form when you click, then you check it and press submit yourself. | Its agent handles the entire application process and applies for you. (source: https://lazyapply.com/) | | Price | Installing, filling forms and tracking applications are free. AI drafts are paid per use from credit you buy once, which never expires. Nothing renews. | Billed yearly: Basic $99, Premium $149 or Ultimate $999. Each plan needs a Gmail account. (source: https://lazyapply.com/) | | Volume | One form at a time, as fast as you can read it. | 15 applications a day on Basic, 150 on Premium and 1,500 on Ultimate. (source: https://lazyapply.com/) | | Free use | Filling forms is free, with no limit, and the first AI answers on each account are free. | No free plan; the FAQ says it has no trial, and plans are billed annually. (source: https://lazyapply.com/faq) | | Refunds | Unused credit can be refunded within 14 days of buying it; a failed AI action is refunded to your balance. | A money-back guarantee, on condition you have applied to fewer than 100 jobs with it. Tested on Greenhouse and Ashby forms captured from live job posts. | Job platforms such as Greenhouse, Dice, Indeed and ZipRecruiter. (source: https://lazyapply.com/download-extension) | | Your data | Guap does not sell personal data or use it for advertising. | LazyApply says it does not sell its users’ personal information. (source: https://lazyapply.com/privacy) | ### Where Barista is better - Nothing leaves without you. Barista never presses submit, so every answer an employer reads is one you have seen. Forms often ask role-specific questions, and an answer nobody read before it was sent can miss what was asked. - Free to fill. There is no plan to buy before the first form; you pay only for AI drafts you ask for, at the prices on the pricing page (https://guap.work/pricing). LazyApply has no free plan. - No annual commitment. Credit is bought in small amounts and does not expire, where every LazyApply plan is billed yearly. - Simple refunds. Unused credit can be refunded within 14 days of buying it, and a failed AI action goes back to your balance. - A record of what you sent. Each application Barista fills is saved with its date and marked sent when you submit. On 13 October 2026 LazyApply’s store listing showed a 3.2 rating from 215 ratings and 20,000 users (store listing (https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/lazyapply-job-application/pgnfaifdbfoiehcndkoeemaifhhbgkmm)). Read the recent reviews there before you pay for a year. ### Where LazyApply differs - Volume. LazyApply sends applications in bulk, up to 1,500 a day on its top plan, without you opening each one. Barista will never do that. - Hands off. Once set up, it applies while you do something else; Barista needs you at the screen for each form. - More than forms. It also offers referral emails to employees at the companies you apply to (LazyApply (https://lazyapply.com/)). ### Which one to pick Pick Barista if you want the slow part of each application done for you and the decisions left to you, with no subscription and nothing to pay until you use AI. Pick LazyApply if sending the most applications matters more to you than what each one says, and you are comfortable paying a year in advance. ### How we compared Guap makes Barista and wrote this page, so read it knowing that. We read LazyApply’s home page, FAQ, download page, privacy policy and Chrome Web Store listing on 13 October 2026, and every claim about LazyApply links to the page that makes it. What this page says about Barista is what its code does on that date. If something has changed, write to friend@guap.work and we will correct it. ### Questions #### Does Barista auto-apply like LazyApply? No. Barista fills the form when you click and you press submit. It has no bulk or automatic mode, by design. #### Is there a free version of LazyApply? No. Its plans are billed yearly, and its FAQ says there is no trial. It offers a money-back guarantee with conditions, set out in the same FAQ. #### Is auto-applying a good idea? It sends more applications, but you do not read the posting or the answers before they go. For roles you care about, an application that answers the employer’s own questions in your words is the safer bet. ### Sources - LazyApply, home page (checked 2026-10-13): https://lazyapply.com/ - LazyApply, FAQ (checked 2026-10-13): https://lazyapply.com/faq - LazyApply, Download extension (checked 2026-10-13): https://lazyapply.com/download-extension - LazyApply, Privacy policy (checked 2026-10-13): https://lazyapply.com/privacy - LazyApply on the Chrome Web Store (checked 2026-10-13): https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/lazyapply-job-application/pgnfaifdbfoiehcndkoeemaifhhbgkmm ## Barista vs Simplify Copilot: autofill compared | Guap URL: https://guap.work/blog/barista-vs-simplify Last updated: 2026-10-15 Barista and Simplify Copilot side by side: price, how each fills and applies, ATS coverage, browsers and jobs, with sources, and who each one suits. ### The short answer Barista is Guap’s Chrome extension, on the Chrome Web Store since October 2026. It fills job application forms from a profile you set up once, then stops: you press submit, every time. Its AI drafts are paid one at a time from credit that does not expire, instead of a subscription, and it sits next to a job board for students and early-career people in Europe. Simplify Copilot fills forms from a profile too, and is the older and much larger tool: it names more applicant tracking systems, has an iPhone app and a Firefox version, and sells a subscription, Simplify+, that adds AI writing and an agent that applies for you. ### Side by side What each one does, as of 13 October 2026. Barista and Simplify Copilot compared, checked on 13 October 2026: | | Barista | Simplify Copilot | | --- | --- | --- | | Price | Installing, filling forms and tracking applications are free. AI drafts are paid per use from credit you buy once, which never expires. Nothing renews. | Autofill, the tracker, job matches and a basic resume builder are free. Simplify+ costs $19.99 a week, $39.99 a month or $89.99 for three months, and renews automatically. If you are applying to five roles this month and none next month, nothing renews in between. The pricing page (https://guap.work/pricing) lists each price. Simplify+ renews automatically, weekly, monthly or every three months. - AI answers without a plan. The first AI answers on each account are free, then each draft is paid on its own. On Simplify, AI answers to essay questions and cover letters are Simplify+ features. - You always press submit. Barista has no auto-apply mode, so nothing goes to an employer that you have not read. - Careful with uncertain answers. When no option clearly matches your profile, Barista leaves the field empty and tells you, rather than choosing the closest one. The Greenhouse (https://guap.work/blog/greenhouse-autofill) and Ashby (https://guap.work/blog/ashby-autofill) pages show how. - Built around European students. Barista comes with Guap, a job platform for students and early-career people in Europe, and free tools (https://guap.work/tools) such as an ATS CV checker that needs no account. ### Where Simplify differs - A longer track record. On 13 October 2026 its Chrome Web Store listing showed a 4.9 rating from about 3,800 ratings and 600,000 users (store listing (https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/simplify-copilot-autofill/pbanhockgagggenencehbnadejlgchfc)). Barista went live on the store in October 2026. - More systems named. Simplify lists Workday, iCIMS and Taleo among the portals it fills. Barista recognises those by address and runs its general filler on them, but it has only been tested on captured Greenhouse and Ashby forms, so for a list that is mostly Workday, Simplify has the stronger claim today. - More places to use it. Firefox (in beta) and an iPhone app, where Barista has neither. - An agent that applies for you. Autopilot, part of Simplify+, sends applications on your behalf; Barista leaves submit to you on purpose. - AI in one price. If you write many AI answers every week, a subscription can cost less than paying per draft. Work out how many you need before you choose. ### Which one to pick Pick Barista if you are a student or graduate applying in Europe, if you want to read every application before it goes, or if you would rather pay for AI drafts when you use them than keep a subscription running. Pick Simplify if you apply mostly to US roles, if Workday or iCIMS forms make up much of your list, if you use Firefox or want to apply from an iPhone, or if you want an agent to send applications for you. ### How we compared Guap makes Barista and wrote this page, so read it knowing that. We read Simplify’s own pages, its help centre and its Chrome Web Store listing on 13 October 2026, and every claim about Simplify links to the page that makes it. What this page says about Barista is what its code does on that date. Prices, features and store numbers change; if something here is out of date, tell us at friend@guap.work and we will correct it. ### Questions #### Is Simplify Copilot free? Its autofill, tracker, job matches and basic resume builder are free, and Simplify says there is no limit on how many applications you fill. AI writing and the Autopilot agent come with Simplify+, a paid subscription. #### Does Barista apply to jobs automatically? No. Barista fills the form when you click and you press submit. There is no auto-apply mode, so no application leaves without you reading it first. #### Can I use Barista and Simplify at the same time? You can install both, but two autofill tools working on the same form can fill the same field twice or overwrite each other. Use one at a time on a given form, or turn one off for that site. #### Which one works better on Workday? Barista recognises Workday pages and runs its general filler on them, but it has not been tested on captured Workday forms, so it does not claim Workday support. Simplify names Workday as a supported portal. ### Sources - Simplify, Copilot (checked 2026-10-13): https://simplify.jobs/copilot - Simplify help centre, What’s included in Simplify: features and pricing (checked 2026-10-13): https://help.simplify.jobs/en/articles/5623502-whats-included-in-simplify-features-and-pricing - Simplify help centre, Using Copilot to autofill applications (checked 2026-10-13): https://help.simplify.jobs/en/articles/2415391-using-copilot-to-autofill-applications - Simplify help centre, Getting started with Autopilot (checked 2026-10-13): https://help.simplify.jobs/en/articles/1784339-getting-started-with-autopilot - Simplify help centre, Installing and setting up Copilot (checked 2026-10-13): https://help.simplify.jobs/en/articles/1749022-installing-and-setting-up-copilot - Simplify help centre, Getting started with the Simplify iOS app (checked 2026-10-13): https://help.simplify.jobs/en/articles/3745882-getting-started-with-the-simplify-ios-app - Simplify help centre, Answering essay questions with Copilot (checked 2026-10-13): https://help.simplify.jobs/en/articles/7306766-answering-essay-questions-with-copilot - Simplify help centre, Supported countries and regions (checked 2026-10-13): https://help.simplify.jobs/en/articles/6895855-supported-countries-and-regions - Simplify Copilot on the Chrome Web Store (checked 2026-10-13): https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/simplify-copilot-autofill/pbanhockgagggenencehbnadejlgchfc ## Barista vs Teal: autofill, tracking and CVs compared | Guap URL: https://guap.work/blog/barista-vs-teal Last updated: 2026-10-15 Barista and Teal side by side: autofill, job tracking, resume tools and price, with sources, and who each one suits. ### The short answer Barista is built to fill application forms on careers sites, including the parts that trip up simple fillers, and it saves each application it fills to a tracker with its date. Guap adds a CV check against a job and an editor to fix what it finds, and its AI drafts are paid one at a time from credit that never expires. Teal starts from the other end. It began as a resume builder and job tracker, and its Chrome extension saves jobs from job boards and can fill applications. Its strength is the resume side: templates, keyword matching against a job, and AI writing for bullets, summaries and cover letters. Guap has no template-based resume builder. ### Side by side What each one does, as of 13 October 2026. Barista and Teal compared, checked on 13 October 2026: | | Barista | Teal | | --- | --- | --- | | Price | Installing, filling forms and tracking applications are free. AI drafts are paid per use from credit you buy once, which never expires. Nothing renews. | A free plan with unlimited resumes and job tracking and a few AI credits. (source: https://www.tealhq.com/tool/job-search-chrome-extension) | | Your data | Guap does not sell personal data or use it for advertising. AI drafts go through a model provider, listed in the privacy policy. | Teal says it does not sell personal information, and that content may be sent to AI providers such as OpenAI. (source: https://www.tealhq.com/privacy-policy) | ### Where Barista is better - Filling forms is the main job. Barista handles the parts of application forms that trip up simple fillers: custom dropdowns, Yes/No buttons, location searches and the CV upload. The Greenhouse (https://guap.work/blog/greenhouse-autofill) and Ashby (https://guap.work/blog/ashby-autofill) pages explain how. Teal’s autofill page names “major job boards” without a list. - Tracking without typing. The applications Barista fills land in your tracker with their dates, and are marked sent when you submit. - No subscription. AI drafts are paid one at a time from credit that does not expire. The pricing page (https://guap.work/pricing) lists each price. Teal+ is billed every 7, 30 or 90 days. - Jobs in Europe. Guap lists roles for students and early-career people in Europe, and its free ATS CV checker (https://guap.work/tools/ats-cv-checker) needs no account. ### Where Teal differs - Building a resume. Teal’s builder, templates and keyword matching are its core product, so it gives you more to work with if you are writing your first CV from nothing. - Collecting jobs from boards. Its extension saves postings from LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor and dozens more into one list, before you decide where to apply. - Unlimited job tracking on the free plan, with contacts and companies alongside the jobs you save. - Track record. On 13 October 2026 its store listing showed a 4.9 rating from about 3,200 ratings and 200,000 users (store listing (https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/teal-job-search-companion/opafjjlpbiaicbbgifbejoochmmeikep)). Barista is new. ### Which one to pick Pick Barista if your CV is ready and the time goes on filling forms, especially on employers’ own careers sites, and you want each application tracked as you send it. Pick Teal if your CV is the problem: you need a builder, templates and help matching it to each job, and you want to collect postings from many job boards in one place. They overlap less than it looks. Writing your CV in one and filling forms with the other is a reasonable setup. ### How we compared Guap makes Barista and wrote this page, so read it knowing that. We read Teal’s pricing page, its extension and autofill pages, its privacy policy and its Chrome Web Store listing on 13 October 2026, and every claim about Teal links to the page that makes it. What this page says about Barista is what its code does on that date. If something has changed, write to friend@guap.work and we will correct it. ### Questions #### Is Teal free? Teal has a free plan with unlimited resumes and job tracking and a small number of AI credits. Teal+ removes the AI limits and is billed every 7, 30 or 90 days. #### Does Barista build resumes like Teal? No. Guap reads the CV you already have, checks it against a job and helps you fix what the check finds, but it has no template builder. Barista then attaches your CV to application forms. #### Can I use Teal and Barista together? Yes, for different jobs: Teal for writing your resume and saving postings, Barista for filling the application forms. On a given form, use one autofill tool at a time so they do not fill the same fields twice. ### Sources - Teal, Pricing (checked 2026-10-13): https://www.tealhq.com/pricing - Teal, Autofill job applications (checked 2026-10-13): https://www.tealhq.com/tools/autofill-job-applications - Teal, Job search Chrome extension (checked 2026-10-13): https://www.tealhq.com/tool/job-search-chrome-extension - Teal, Privacy policy (2026-08-12, checked 2026-10-13): https://www.tealhq.com/privacy-policy - Teal Job Search Companion on the Chrome Web Store (checked 2026-10-13): https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/teal-job-search-companion/opafjjlpbiaicbbgifbejoochmmeikep ## Guap vs Handshake for students and employers | Guap URL: https://guap.work/blog/guap-vs-handshake Last updated: 2026-10-15 Guap and Handshake compared for students and employers in Europe: who posts jobs, cost, universities and applying, sourced, and who each one suits. ### The short answer Guap is a job platform for students and early-career people in Europe, started in Romania in 2026. It lists jobs posted by employers who verified their company email alongside roles from company careers sites, and it comes with Barista, a Chrome extension that fills application forms on those careers sites. It is free for students, and employers see fixed monthly prices in euros. Handshake is the established early-career network: students, employers and university career centres in one place, with events and career fairs, in the US and, through its UK and German sites, in Europe. If your university uses it, you probably already have an account. ### Side by side What each one offers, as of 13 October 2026. Guap and Handshake compared, checked on 13 October 2026: | | Guap | Handshake | | --- | --- | --- | | For students | Free: the jobs feed, applying to jobs posted on Guap, tracking applications and Barista’s autofill. | Free for students; universities and employers pay for Handshake. (source: https://joinhandshake.co.uk/blog/careers-services/about-handshake-discover-our-business-model-and-why-we-are-trusted-by-over-1500-universities-worldwide) | | Size | New: started in 2026. | 15M+ students, 1,500+ universities and 900K+ employers, by its own count. (source: https://joinhandshake.co.uk/) | | Where | Europe; started in Romania. The site is in English. | The US, plus UK and German sites and employer plans that reach students across Europe. (source: https://joinhandshake.co.uk/employers/compare-plans) | | Who posts jobs | Employers who confirmed a code sent to their company email, on a paid plan. Guap also lists roles from company careers sites. | Employers posting to verified early-career talent across Europe, from a free Basic plan up. (source: https://joinhandshake.co.uk/employers/compare-plans) | | For employers | Basic €49 a month or Pro €149 a month (€39 and €119 billed yearly). Posting needs a paid plan. | In the US: a free Basic plan, Pro at $450 a month or $4,500 a year, and Enterprise on request. (source: https://joinhandshake.com/employers/pricing/) | | Universities | A university verifies with its email and partners with Guap; the partner tools are still being built. | Partnerships with universities worldwide, which help fund the service. (source: https://joinhandshake.co.uk/blog/careers-services/about-handshake-discover-our-business-model-and-why-we-are-trusted-by-over-1500-universities-worldwide) | | Events and messages | A verified employer can message someone who applied to one of its roles. No events. | Events and career fairs, and messages with recruiters, students and alumni. (source: https://joinhandshake.co.uk/) | | Phone | No app; the site works in a phone browser. | Apps for iPhone and Android. (source: https://joinhandshake.com/) | ### Where Guap is better - Roles from careers sites, not only posted ones. Guap lists roles from company careers sites next to the jobs employers post on Guap, and checks those roles again and closes them when the company takes them down. - Help with the forms. Most of those roles are applied for on the company’s own site. Barista (https://guap.work/about-barista) fills those application forms from your Guap profile and tracks what you send. See how it handles Greenhouse (https://guap.work/blog/greenhouse-autofill) and Ashby (https://guap.work/blog/ashby-autofill). - Verified posting. A business can post only after confirming a code sent to its company email. - Plain prices for employers, in euros, on the pricing page (https://guap.work/pricing) and the employers page (https://guap.work/for-employers). ### Where Handshake differs - A larger network. Millions of students, more than a thousand universities and hundreds of thousands of employers use it, by its own count. Guap started in 2026. - Universities. Career centres that partner with Handshake run jobs, events and fairs through it. Guap’s university tools are not built yet. - Events. Career fairs and employer events, online and on campus. Guap has none. - Free for employers to start. Handshake has a free Basic plan for employers; on Guap, posting a job needs a paid plan. - Language. It runs a German site (joinhandshake.de (https://joinhandshake.de/)). Guap is in English only. ### Which one to use For students, there is no reason to choose, and both are free for you. Guap adds roles from company careers sites and the tools to apply to them quickly. Handshake is where your university and its employers may already be. For employers, Guap gives you verified company accounts and fixed monthly prices, with a smaller, newer audience in Europe. Handshake reaches more students today and lets you start free. ### How we compared Guap wrote this page, so read it knowing that. We read Handshake’s US and UK sites, its employer plan pages and its post on its business model on 13 October 2026, and every claim about Handshake links to the page that makes it. What this page says about Guap is what its code does on that date. If something has changed, write to friend@guap.work and we will correct it. ### Questions #### Is Handshake available in Europe? Yes. Handshake runs a UK site and a German site, and its employer plans describe reaching early talent across Europe. Its main market is still the US. #### Is Guap free for students? Yes. The jobs feed, applying to jobs posted on Guap, tracking applications and Barista’s autofill are free. Only AI drafts, such as cover letters, are paid per use from credit. #### Can I use Guap and Handshake at the same time? Yes. They do not conflict: use Guap and Barista for roles on company careers sites, and keep the Handshake account your university gives you alongside them. ### Sources - Handshake UK, home page (checked 2026-10-13): https://joinhandshake.co.uk/ - Handshake, Employer pricing (US) (checked 2026-10-13): https://joinhandshake.com/employers/pricing/ - Handshake UK, Compare plans for employers (checked 2026-10-13): https://joinhandshake.co.uk/employers/compare-plans - Handshake UK, About Handshake: our business model (checked 2026-10-13): https://joinhandshake.co.uk/blog/careers-services/about-handshake-discover-our-business-model-and-why-we-are-trusted-by-over-1500-universities-worldwide - Handshake Germany, home page (checked 2026-10-13): https://joinhandshake.de/ - Handshake, home page (US) (checked 2026-10-13): https://joinhandshake.com/ ## LazyApply alternatives: autofill you review, or other agents | Guap URL: https://guap.work/blog/lazyapply-alternatives Last updated: 2026-10-13 Alternatives to LazyApply for auto-applying or for reviewing each application yourself: Barista, Simplify, Jobright and Huntr, compared with sources. ### What LazyApply does LazyApply is a Chrome extension that applies to jobs for you in bulk: its agent handles the whole application, and its yearly plans are priced by how many applications it sends a day (LazyApply (https://lazyapply.com/)). Its FAQ says it has no free plan and no trial, and that plans are billed annually (FAQ (https://lazyapply.com/faq)). People look for an alternative for one of two reasons: they want the same automation with different terms, or they have decided they would rather read what goes out under their name. The options below cover both. ### If you want to review each application - Barista, by Guap. Fills the application form from your Guap profile when you click, and never presses submit. Filling forms and tracking applications are free; AI drafts for open questions and cover letters are paid per use from credit that does not expire. Guap makes Barista and wrote this page; Barista vs LazyApply (https://guap.work/blog/barista-vs-lazyapply) compares the two in detail. - Simplify Copilot. Fills the form and asks you to review and submit it yourself (Simplify help (https://help.simplify.jobs/en/articles/2415391-using-copilot-to-autofill-applications)); autofill is free. - Huntr. A tracker with an autofill extension; the free plan includes unlimited autofills and tracks up to 100 jobs (Huntr pricing (https://huntr.co/pricing)). ### If you still want an agent - Simplify Autopilot. Comes with Simplify+, a weekly, monthly or three-month subscription (Simplify pricing (https://help.simplify.jobs/en/articles/5623502-whats-included-in-simplify-features-and-pricing)). - Jobright Agent. Matches roles, customises your resume and applies for you, for US-based roles only for now (Jobright (https://jobright.ai/ai-agent)). Barista has no agent and will not apply for you. ### Barista and LazyApply on the points people switch for The rows that usually decide it, as of 13 October 2026. Barista and LazyApply on the reasons people switch, checked on 13 October 2026: | | Barista | LazyApply | | --- | --- | --- | | Who presses submit | You do, on each application. | Its agent handles the entire application process. (source: https://lazyapply.com/) | | Paying | Free to fill; AI drafts per use from credit you buy once. Nothing renews. | Basic $99, Premium $149 or Ultimate $999, billed yearly. (source: https://lazyapply.com/) | | Trying it first | Filling forms is free with no limit, and the first AI answers on each account are free. | No free plan, and the FAQ says there is no trial. (source: https://lazyapply.com/faq) | | Account needed | A Guap account, signed in with a code sent to any email address. | Each plan requires a Gmail account. (source: https://lazyapply.com/) | ### When LazyApply is the better fit If your plan is to send as many applications as possible and you accept not reading each one, LazyApply is built for that and none of the review-first tools here will match its volume. Before paying for a year, read the recent reviews on its store listing: on 13 October 2026 it showed a 3.2 rating from 215 ratings (store listing (https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/lazyapply-job-application/pgnfaifdbfoiehcndkoeemaifhhbgkmm)). ### Questions #### Is there a LazyApply alternative that is free? Barista fills forms and tracks applications for free and charges only for AI drafts you ask for. Simplify Copilot’s autofill is free, and Huntr’s free plan includes unlimited autofills. None of these applies for you in bulk. #### Which alternative still auto-applies? Simplify’s Autopilot, with a Simplify+ subscription, and Jobright’s agent, for US-based roles. Barista does not auto-apply. ### Sources - LazyApply, home page (checked 2026-10-13): https://lazyapply.com/ - LazyApply, FAQ (checked 2026-10-13): https://lazyapply.com/faq - LazyApply on the Chrome Web Store (checked 2026-10-13): https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/lazyapply-job-application/pgnfaifdbfoiehcndkoeemaifhhbgkmm - Simplify help centre, Using Copilot to autofill applications (checked 2026-10-13): https://help.simplify.jobs/en/articles/2415391-using-copilot-to-autofill-applications - Simplify help centre, What’s included in Simplify: features and pricing (checked 2026-10-13): https://help.simplify.jobs/en/articles/5623502-whats-included-in-simplify-features-and-pricing - Jobright, AI agent (checked 2026-10-13): https://jobright.ai/ai-agent - Huntr, Pricing (checked 2026-10-13): https://huntr.co/pricing ## Simplify Copilot alternatives for job application autofill | Guap URL: https://guap.work/blog/simplify-copilot-alternatives Last updated: 2026-10-13 Other ways to autofill job applications if Simplify Copilot does not fit: Barista, Jobright, Huntr, Teal and LazyApply, and what each does differently. ### First, which Copilot This page is about Simplify Copilot, the Chrome extension from simplify.jobs that fills job applications, not Microsoft Copilot or GitHub Copilot. Simplify describes it as a way to autofill applications, tailor resumes and track what you submit (Simplify (https://simplify.jobs/copilot)). ### Why people look for something else Simplify Copilot is free to fill forms and widely used, so the reasons to switch are usually specific: - The AI is in a subscription. AI answers to essay questions and cover letters inside Copilot are Simplify+ features, and Simplify+ renews automatically (Simplify help (https://help.simplify.jobs/en/articles/7306766-answering-essay-questions-with-copilot), pricing (https://help.simplify.jobs/en/articles/5623502-whats-included-in-simplify-features-and-pricing)). If you only need a few drafts, you may prefer to pay per draft. - Where you apply. Its job listings cover ten countries (Simplify help (https://help.simplify.jobs/en/articles/6895855-supported-countries-and-regions)); if you are a student in a European country outside that list, a tool built around your market may show you more. - You want more, or less, automation. Some people want an agent that applies for them; Simplify offers one with Simplify+ (Autopilot (https://help.simplify.jobs/en/articles/1784339-getting-started-with-autopilot)). Others want a tool that can never send anything on its own. ### The alternatives - Barista, by Guap. A Chrome extension that fills application forms from your Guap profile and never presses submit. Filling and tracking are free; AI drafts are paid per use from credit that does not expire. Built alongside a job platform for students and early-career people in Europe. Guap makes it and wrote this page. Barista vs Simplify (https://guap.work/blog/barista-vs-simplify) compares the two in detail. - Jobright. Matching, resume tailoring, an autofill extension and an agent that applies for you, for US-based roles only for now (Jobright (https://jobright.ai/ai-agent)). - Huntr. A job tracker first. Its free plan tracks up to 100 jobs with unlimited autofills and a few AI credits; Pro adds unlimited AI (Huntr pricing (https://huntr.co/pricing)). - Teal. A resume builder and tracker whose extension saves jobs from 40+ job boards, including LinkedIn, Indeed and Glassdoor (Teal (https://www.tealhq.com/tool/job-search-chrome-extension)). - LazyApply. For bulk auto-applying, with yearly plans priced by applications a day (LazyApply (https://lazyapply.com/)). The opposite of fill and review. ### Barista and Simplify Copilot on the points people switch for The rows that usually decide it, as of 13 October 2026. Barista and Simplify Copilot on the reasons people switch, checked on 13 October 2026: | | Barista | Simplify Copilot | | --- | --- | --- | | Paying for AI | Per draft, from credit you buy once, which never expires. It is also far more widely used: its store listing showed about 600,000 users on 13 October 2026 (store listing (https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/simplify-copilot-autofill/pbanhockgagggenencehbnadejlgchfc)). Two autofill extensions on the same form can fill the same fields twice. If you try an alternative, switch the other one off for that site while you do. ### Questions #### Is there a free alternative to Simplify Copilot? Barista fills forms and tracks applications for free and charges only for AI drafts. Huntr’s free plan includes unlimited autofills and tracks up to 100 jobs. Simplify Copilot’s own autofill is free too; what costs money in each is the AI. #### Which alternative works for jobs in Europe? Barista comes with Guap, a job platform for students and early-career people in Europe, and fills forms on any careers site. Jobright says it covers US-based roles only for now. #### Which alternative applies to jobs for me? Jobright’s agent and LazyApply both apply on your behalf, and so does Simplify’s own Autopilot with Simplify+. Barista does not: it fills and you submit. ### Sources - Simplify, Copilot (checked 2026-10-13): https://simplify.jobs/copilot - Simplify help centre, What’s included in Simplify: features and pricing (checked 2026-10-13): https://help.simplify.jobs/en/articles/5623502-whats-included-in-simplify-features-and-pricing - Simplify help centre, Getting started with Autopilot (checked 2026-10-13): https://help.simplify.jobs/en/articles/1784339-getting-started-with-autopilot - Simplify help centre, Installing and setting up Copilot (checked 2026-10-13): https://help.simplify.jobs/en/articles/1749022-installing-and-setting-up-copilot - Simplify help centre, Answering essay questions with Copilot (checked 2026-10-13): https://help.simplify.jobs/en/articles/7306766-answering-essay-questions-with-copilot - Simplify help centre, Supported countries and regions (checked 2026-10-13): https://help.simplify.jobs/en/articles/6895855-supported-countries-and-regions - Simplify Copilot on the Chrome Web Store (checked 2026-10-13): https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/simplify-copilot-autofill/pbanhockgagggenencehbnadejlgchfc - Jobright, AI agent (checked 2026-10-13): https://jobright.ai/ai-agent - Huntr, Pricing (checked 2026-10-13): https://huntr.co/pricing - Teal, Job search Chrome extension (checked 2026-10-13): https://www.tealhq.com/tool/job-search-chrome-extension - LazyApply, home page (checked 2026-10-13): https://lazyapply.com/ ## Teal alternatives for resumes, tracking and autofill | Guap URL: https://guap.work/blog/teal-alternatives Last updated: 2026-10-13 Alternatives to Teal, depending on what you use it for: resumes, job tracking or filling applications. Huntr, Simplify, Jobright and Barista, with sources. ### Start with what you use Teal for Teal does several jobs: a resume builder with templates and keyword matching, a job tracker, and a Chrome extension that saves postings from 40+ job boards (Teal (https://www.tealhq.com/tool/job-search-chrome-extension)). Its free plan includes unlimited resumes and tracking with a few AI credits; Teal+ is billed every 7, 30 or 90 days (Teal pricing (https://www.tealhq.com/pricing)). The right alternative depends on which of those you need. No single tool below does all of them the same way. ### For resumes and tracking - Huntr. The closest match: a board to track applications, a resume builder with tailored resumes, AI cover letters and an autofill extension. The free plan tracks up to 100 jobs; Pro adds unlimited AI (Huntr pricing (https://huntr.co/pricing)). - Simplify. Free autofill, tracker, job matches and a basic resume builder, with AI writing in a paid subscription (Simplify pricing (https://help.simplify.jobs/en/articles/5623502-whats-included-in-simplify-features-and-pricing)). - Jobright. Resume tailoring and job matching built on its own job database, for US roles (Jobright (https://jobright.ai/)). ### For filling applications Barista, by Guap, is built for the forms: it fills application forms on careers sites from your Guap profile, including custom dropdowns, Yes/No buttons and the CV upload, and saves each application it fills to a tracker with its date. You press submit. Filling and tracking are free; AI drafts are paid per use. Guap makes Barista and wrote this page; Barista vs Teal (https://guap.work/blog/barista-vs-teal) compares the two in detail. For your CV, Guap does not have a template builder. It checks the CV you already have: the free ATS CV checker (https://guap.work/tools/ats-cv-checker) tests the layout rules that break parsing, with no account, and the full CV check inside Guap grades it against a job. ### Barista and Teal on the points people switch for The rows that usually decide it, as of 13 October 2026. You can keep Teal for the resume and use a form-filling tool for the applications themselves. ### Questions #### What is the closest alternative to Teal? Huntr covers the most of the same ground: tracking, resumes, cover letters and autofill. Simplify is closer if free autofill matters most to you. #### Is there a Teal alternative without a subscription? Barista has none: filling forms and tracking are free, and AI drafts are paid one at a time from credit that does not expire. Huntr and Simplify both have free plans, with AI in a paid plan. ### Sources - Teal, Pricing (checked 2026-10-13): https://www.tealhq.com/pricing - Teal, Job search Chrome extension (checked 2026-10-13): https://www.tealhq.com/tool/job-search-chrome-extension - Simplify help centre, What’s included in Simplify: features and pricing (checked 2026-10-13): https://help.simplify.jobs/en/articles/5623502-whats-included-in-simplify-features-and-pricing - Huntr, Pricing (checked 2026-10-13): https://huntr.co/pricing - Jobright, home page (checked 2026-10-13): https://jobright.ai/ ## LinkedIn has a 1.1 on Trustpilot. We read the reviews. | Guap URL: https://guap.work/blog/linkedin-trustpilot-reviews Last updated: 2026-10-20 3,956 reviews, 87% of them one star. What job seekers hit on LinkedIn, in their own words and LinkedIn's research, and what Guap does about each. ### A 1.1 out of 5 On 20 October 2026, LinkedIn's page on Trustpilot (https://www.trustpilot.com/review/www.linkedin.com) showed a TrustScore of 1.1 out of 5, from 3,956 reviews. 87% of them give one star. We make Guap, an app for finding and applying to jobs, so we went and read them. Not all of them: the newest, and the ones that talk about jobs, ghosting and Premium. Most of the ones we read are not about networking at all. They are about looking for work, and about the place built for it getting in the way. Below is what people wrote, what the research says about why it hits people early in their careers hardest, and what Guap does about each complaint. Where LinkedIn is still worth your time, we say that too. ### Why it lands hardest when you are starting out LinkedIn works best for people who already have a network. Their posts get seen, their contacts make introductions, and recruiters come to them. If you are 22 and just finished studying, you get the other half: the ads, the job posts and the silence. LinkedIn's own research says much the same: - In a survey of 18,050 professionals in 12 countries (https://news.linkedin.com/2026/linkedin-research-gen-z-professionals-are-becoming-key-business-decision-makers-yet-72-lack-confidence-to-turn-contacts-into-career-opportunities) (run by Censuswide for LinkedIn in July and August 2026), 72% of Gen Z (the study sampled at least 150 people aged 18 to 29 in each country) said they feel disconnected from people who could help their careers. 64% said no one has clearly shown them how to build professional relationships, 37% worry about being judged and 34% about sounding inauthentic. - In LinkedIn's Job Search Safety Pulse (https://news.linkedin.com/2026/LinkedIn-Job-Search-Safety-Pulse) (8,512 professionals in the UK, US, India, Germany and Brazil, March 2026), 32% of Gen Z said they had been the victim of a job scam, against 17% of Gen X. 32% of Gen Z also admitted ignoring warning signs, against 8% of Baby Boomers. - Outside LinkedIn, PeopleScout's Inside the Candidate Experience 2026 (https://www.peoplescout.com/insights/generations-ai-in-hiring/) (more than 1,000 job seekers) found that 76% of 18 to 24 year olds were ghosted on more than half of their applications, more than any other age group. The first two are LinkedIn asking professionals in general; the third covers job seekers everywhere, not only on LinkedIn. Together they describe what the reviews do: when you have the least to go on, you get the least back. ### Jobs that are not really there The first complaint is the one you meet before any other: listings for roles nobody is hiring for. Some are left up after the job is filled. Some were never meant to be filled. Either way, you spend an evening on an application nobody reads. What Guap does. The jobs Guap finds itself come straight from each company's own careers page or its public applicant tracking board, not from job aggregators. Guap checks them again every night and closes a role once the company's listing drops it, or once its page is gone on two checks in a row. For a listing anywhere else, here is how to spot a ghost job before you apply (https://guap.work/blog/how-to-spot-ghost-jobs). In reviewers' own words: > "Literally every 3rd job advert is non-existent on the company's website" (Albi, GB, 1 of 5 stars, 31 Jan 2026, Trustpilot: https://www.trustpilot.com/reviews/697e3adea85c1302249ef0ab) > "The job board is a total disaster, it's flooded with "Easy Apply" ghost jobs that never get a response and promoted listings that aren't even relevant to my field." (Marie S., US, 1 of 5 stars, 16 Mar 2026, Trustpilot: https://www.trustpilot.com/reviews/69b8191d3b46864459fe1c71) > "Linkedin is guilty of FALSE ADVERTISEMENT - advertising hundreds of ghost jobs - jobs that DO NOT EXIST." (Don H., US, 1 of 5 stars, 31 Oct 2024, Trustpilot: https://www.trustpilot.com/reviews/6722b754ee35d7ceca17705c) ### Applying into silence The second complaint is quieter, because it is about nothing happening. You apply and never hear back. Not a no. Nothing. What Guap does. Guap cannot make a company reply, but it can show you which ones do not. Company and job pages on Guap show how many Guap users got no reply from that company in the past year, once at least three different people marked an application Ghosted after two months or more of silence. Your own applications are tracked in one place, and after 60 days with no reply Guap suggests marking one Ghosted, so it stops taking up room in your head. It will not let you do it sooner. In reviewers' own words: > "Well I have been applying since June, and 0 interviews just rejections, if I even hear back." (GodOfTheEast, US, 1 of 5 stars, 2 Sep 2026, Trustpilot: https://www.trustpilot.com/reviews/6a975e268433323fbfca334b) > "When you apply for a job, there's no response, not even a banal "You're not right for us."" (Denis D., AM, 1 of 5 stars, 3 Sep 2026, Trustpilot: https://www.trustpilot.com/reviews/6a98b1927bda5df15f0d8151) ### Paying to be seen Premium comes up again and again. Some people feel pushed to pay just to be noticed while they are out of work. Others say a trial turned into a charge they did not see coming. What Guap does. There is no subscription for job seekers. You buy a prepaid credit pack once, nothing renews, and credit never expires. Unused credit is refundable within 14 days. Autofill, sending your application, tracking, the calendar and reminders are free. Each paid action has a fixed price, from 5 cents, shown before you choose it, and new accounts get some uses free. Every price is on the pricing page (https://guap.work/pricing). In reviewers' own words: > "Why are they trying to squeeze job seekers into paying for premium?" (John, US, 1 of 5 stars, 20 Aug 2026, Trustpilot: https://www.trustpilot.com/reviews/6a86c30ef4eb92dce9c29ade) > "LinkedIn doesn't send reminders on renewal of monthly subscription after a trial ends." (S T, SG, 1 of 5 stars, 3 Oct 2026, Trustpilot: https://www.trustpilot.com/reviews/6ac070910bf22322586faae3) > "They Also Have the Nerve to Charge You to Message People!" (Thomas C, US, 1 of 5 stars, 12 Sep 2026, Trustpilot: https://www.trustpilot.com/reviews/6aa584f951d9a32e782e28a5) ### Locked out of your own account Many of the angriest reviews come from people who cannot get into their accounts: flagged as a bot, restricted without a reason, or hacked and then restricted. When your job search lives on one profile, losing the profile means losing the search. What Guap does. You sign in with a one-time code we email you, or with Google. There is no password to create or remember. In reviewers' own words: > Falsely flagged for automation while just looking for jobs like every other student: "LinkedIn flagged my account for "automation detection" despite having zero automation tools installed on my machine." (Arch, DE, 1 of 5 stars, 6 Mar 2026, Trustpilot: https://www.trustpilot.com/reviews/69aad5d62954b1da58b7d2b2) > "LinkedIn restricted my account almost immediately after creation and refused to explain why." (Tom, GB, 1 of 5 stars, 6 Oct 2026, Trustpilot: https://www.trustpilot.com/reviews/6ac5090ab40c9c2b8ac869eb) > "My account gets hacked, my new account gets restricted, and LinkedIn does absolutely NOTHING!" (Tina A., MG, 1 of 5 stars, 12 Oct 2026, Trustpilot: https://www.trustpilot.com/reviews/6acccbde6101fd69e5d1de9f) ### Strangers in your inbox, and nobody to call The last group is about people. Some reviewers are tired of messages from recruiters and sellers they never asked to hear from. More of them say that when something goes wrong, there is no human to talk to. What Guap does. On Guap, only a verified employer can start a conversation, and only with someone who applied to one of its own roles. Recruiters and strangers cannot cold-message you. And when something is wrong, tap Guappy in the navbar to send us a bug, an idea or a question. It goes to our team inbox, and a person writes back by email. In reviewers' own words: > "It’s nothing but Corporate nepo-babies talking about how great their jobs are and solicitors trying to take advantage of people desperately looking for work." (Paul S., US, 1 of 5 stars, 6 Oct 2026, Trustpilot: https://www.trustpilot.com/reviews/6ac54096d5ae3053de6ff314) > "What makes it worse is that there is no way to reach a human." (Abdul Wahab J., PK, 1 of 5 stars, 10 Oct 2026, Trustpilot: https://www.trustpilot.com/reviews/6aca84825cfd9b8d561fc1d5) > "Support is 0 and folks will try to upsell you whilst looking for a job - who does that." (Groovy Farmer, US, 1 of 5 stars, 24 Sep 2026, Trustpilot: https://www.trustpilot.com/reviews/6ab59a7594c51171e529116e) ### Where LinkedIn still earns its place None of this means you should delete your profile. Contacts still matter: in LinkedIn's own research (https://news.linkedin.com/2026/linkedin-research-gen-z-professionals-are-becoming-key-business-decision-makers-yet-72-lack-confidence-to-turn-contacts-into-career-opportunities), US applicants with an inside connection at a company were nearly 7x more likely to be hired. A tidy profile also helps when a recruiter looks you up after you apply. Our advice is simpler than a platform switch: keep LinkedIn for people, and do not let it be your whole job search. Apply where the job really lives, keep track of who replied, and do not pay just to be noticed. ### How we read the reviews Guap wrote this, and Guap makes a job search app, so read it with that in mind. On 20 October 2026 we read LinkedIn's Trustpilot page (https://www.trustpilot.com/review/www.linkedin.com): the newest reviews, and what the page returns when you search it for "job", "ghost" and "premium". The 14 reviews quoted here are copied word for word from the reviews themselves, and each card links to its review. We cut full names to a first name and last initial and left everything else as written, typos included. The score and the count change every day; the numbers here are the ones the page showed that day. Every survey figure links to the page it comes from. We have no connection to LinkedIn or Trustpilot, and neither has seen or approved this article. ### Questions #### What is LinkedIn's Trustpilot score? On 20 October 2026 it was 1.1 out of 5, from 3,956 reviews, and 87% of those reviews gave one star. #### Why do so many young people dislike LinkedIn? It rewards a network you build over years. In LinkedIn's own 2026 research, 72% of Gen Z said they feel disconnected from people who could help their careers and 64% said no one has shown them how to build professional relationships. The reviews add ghost jobs, applications that get no reply, pressure to pay for Premium and accounts that get locked. #### Is LinkedIn Premium worth it when you are starting out? That depends on what you would use it for. Reviewers we read say Premium is pushed on job seekers, and one says no reminder came before the subscription renewed after a trial. If you try it, set your own reminder for the day before it renews. #### How is Guap different from LinkedIn? Guap is a job search app, not a social network. It finds jobs on companies' own careers pages, helps you fill in applications, tracks them, and shows which companies leave people without a reply. Only employers you applied to can message you, and job seekers pay per action with prepaid credit, never a subscription. #### Should I delete my LinkedIn profile? No. Contacts still help: LinkedIn's research says US applicants with an inside connection were nearly 7x more likely to be hired. Keep the profile for people, and do your applying where the job really lives. ### Sources - LinkedIn reviews on Trustpilot (checked 2026-10-20): https://www.trustpilot.com/review/www.linkedin.com - LinkedIn, Gen Z professionals research (Censuswide, 18,050 respondents, July to August 2026) (checked 2026-10-20): https://news.linkedin.com/2026/linkedin-research-gen-z-professionals-are-becoming-key-business-decision-makers-yet-72-lack-confidence-to-turn-contacts-into-career-opportunities - LinkedIn, Job Search Safety Pulse 2026 (Censuswide, 8,512 professionals, March 2026) (checked 2026-10-20): https://news.linkedin.com/2026/LinkedIn-Job-Search-Safety-Pulse - PeopleScout, Inside the Candidate Experience 2026 (checked 2026-10-20): https://www.peoplescout.com/insights/generations-ai-in-hiring/ - Guap pricing (checked 2026-10-20): https://guap.work/pricing ## Indeed has a 1.8 on Trustpilot. We read the reviews. | Guap URL: https://guap.work/blog/indeed-trustpilot-reviews Last updated: 2026-10-21 13,058 reviews: 42% one star, 38% five. What job seekers hit on Indeed, in their own words and the research, and what Guap does about each. ### A 1.8, and a split On 20 October 2026, Indeed's page on Trustpilot (https://www.trustpilot.com/review/www.indeed.com) showed a TrustScore of 1.8 out of 5, from 13,058 reviews. 42% of them give one star. 38% give five. That split is the first thing to know. Plenty of people found a job on Indeed and said so. The rest describe a different site: matches that ignore what they asked for, listings that are already gone, and applications nobody answers. We make Guap, an app for finding and applying to jobs, so we read the newest reviews and the ones about jobs, applying and accounts. Below is what people wrote, why it lands hardest early in a career, and what Guap does about each complaint. Where Indeed works, we say that too. ### Why it lands hardest when you are starting out Indeed's own economists have been measuring the squeeze on first jobs: - Entry-level postings have been falling since 2022. In May 2026 they were down 7.5% on a year earlier (https://hiringlab.indeed.com/2026/07/23/the-labor-market-is-tilting-toward-seniority/), while senior postings were up 14.7%. - The entry-level roles that are left are crowded. Indeed Hiring Lab found (https://hiringlab.indeed.com/2026/07/23/entry-level-jobs-arent-just-for-inexperienced-workers/) that 30% of applications to entry-level postings in May came from people with 10 or more years of experience, which it says likely makes the search harder for younger workers. - In Greenhouse's November 2025 survey (https://www.greenhouse.com/newsroom/an-ai-trust-crisis-70-of-hiring-managers-trust-ai-to-make-faster-and-better-hiring-decisions-only-8-of-job-seekers-call-it-fair) of 2,900 job seekers in the US, UK, Ireland and Germany, 62% of US Gen Z entry-level workers said they had lost trust in hiring, and only 8% of candidates said AI makes hiring fairer. - Handshake (https://joinhandshake.com/research/economic-research/class-of-2026-ai-outlook/) found pessimism among final-year students rose from 46% to 62% in two years. Fewer first jobs, more people applying to each, and less trust in how they are picked. When every application counts for more, a wrong match or a dead listing costs more too. ### Matches that ignore what you asked for The most specific complaints are about recommendations. People set what they want, part-time, remote, one town, and keep getting the opposite. What Guap does. You can filter Guap's job feed by remote, hybrid or on-site, by type (full-time, part-time, internship, contract, entry-level or a 4-day week) and by how recently a role was posted. Pass on a job and it leaves your feed for good. One thing the signed-in feed does not do yet is filter by city: for a place, use the public pages, such as jobs in London (https://guap.work/jobs-in/london). In reviewers' own words: > "My résumé and preferences clearly state that I’m looking for part-time, remote work. Yet I keep receiving full-time opportunities or jobs requiring me to work on-site in places like North Carolina." (Maria M., US, 1 of 5 stars, 1 Oct 2026, Trustpilot: https://www.trustpilot.com/reviews/6abe796f76bf42ca95e01368) > "No matter how many days of doing this, I still get flooded with jobs in cities I am not interested in working in." (Chark T., US, 1 of 5 stars, 22 Sep 2026, Trustpilot: https://www.trustpilot.com/reviews/6ab2556bea3e928bac9cb0c1) > "Do better Indeed. People actually want to find suitable jobs." (JCharles, GB, 2 of 5 stars, 26 Aug 2026, Trustpilot: https://www.trustpilot.com/reviews/6a8ea024e58b3f31d070a4d0) ### Listings that are gone, or were never there The next group is about the listings themselves: posted today and already expired, or a scam that arrived by email. It is not only an Indeed problem. In a 2024 ResumeBuilder survey (https://www.resumebuilder.com/3-in-10-companies-currently-have-fake-job-posting-listed/), 40% of hiring managers said their company had posted a fake job in the past year. What Guap does. The jobs Guap finds itself come straight from each company's own careers page or its public applicant tracking board, not from job aggregators. Guap checks them again every night and closes a role once the company's listing drops it. For a listing anywhere else, here is how to spot a ghost job before you apply (https://guap.work/blog/how-to-spot-ghost-jobs). In reviewers' own words: > "Many jobs actually expired even if according to indeed they were posted the same day" (Marcus D., US, 2 of 5 stars, 14 Jul 2026, Trustpilot: https://www.trustpilot.com/reviews/6a55fef1cdceb6fcc69b4142) > "It’s concerning that this scam was sent directly to my email through your platform." (myabshamless, US, 2 of 5 stars, 20 May 2026, Trustpilot: https://www.trustpilot.com/reviews/6a0e029be66207b6157b5f0c) ### Applying into silence Then the quiet. Dozens of applications, sometimes a hundred or more, and no answer at all. In reviewers' own words: > "No one ever replies back. Applications are viewed sometimes then ghosted." (GasOut Viper, US, 1 of 5 stars, 31 Aug 2026, Trustpilot: https://www.trustpilot.com/reviews/6a95740fe0fecbca98f2a4a8) > "Applied to 150 jobs and was told I was in a queue, but never made it any further." (Patrick M., IE, 1 of 5 stars, 13 Sep 2026, Trustpilot: https://www.trustpilot.com/reviews/6aa6f510fba9479fbf09de69) > "I have to ask, has anyone actually gotten a job interview, talk less of a job, through Indeed? It seems like you fill out numerous applications on this site, but no employer ever gets back to you." (Kenny A., GB, 2 of 5 stars, 3 Jun 2026, Trustpilot: https://www.trustpilot.com/reviews/6a2040afcc12498c1160c60a) ### Phone checks, then calls from strangers Several of the newest reviews are about phone numbers: a check by text before you can carry on, and then calls and WhatsApp messages from strangers offering "flexible" work. Indeed answers many of these reviews on Trustpilot, saying it does not sell personal data and that the callers are impersonators using its name. Either way, the US Federal Trade Commission (https://www.ftc.gov/news-events/data-visualizations/data-spotlight/2024/12/paying-get-paid-gamified-job-scams-drive-record-losses) says task scams, one kind of job scam, typically start with an unexpected text or WhatsApp message, and about 20,000 people reported one in the first half of 2024 alone. What Guap does. Guap never asks for a phone number to sign up or sign in. You sign in with a code we email you, or with Google, and there is no check by text. Your number only reaches an employer inside an application you choose to send, and employers on Guap cannot search or browse people: they see only who applied to their own roles. Our privacy page (https://guap.work/legal/privacy) says it plainly: we do not sell your personal data and do not use it for advertising. In reviewers' own words: > "I signed in with my Google account and now I have to verify my account with a phone number. This site requires too much information for mediocre job leads." (Glenda H., US, 1 of 5 stars, 20 Oct 2026, Trustpilot: https://www.trustpilot.com/reviews/6ad6a61e647d2aaa808f065f) > "Unless you want your number handed out to HUNDREDS of people and sites calling you by the hour asking if you want ‘part time flexible working’ DO NOT SIGN UP." (Sophia K., GB, 1 of 5 stars, 18 Oct 2026, Trustpilot: https://www.trustpilot.com/reviews/6ad4c2c140762d3b7ff98594) > "Sick of calls from ‘Indeed’ asking to add them on whatsapp! Whether it’s you or not, they are using your name." (Mike D, GB, 1 of 5 stars, 19 Sep 2026, Trustpilot: https://www.trustpilot.com/reviews/6aae45b1c9a63a1c6d03acfd) ### Wiped accounts, and nobody to call The angriest reviews are from people who lost their CVs and applications overnight, or got stuck and found no person to ask. What Guap does. Settings has an Export my data button that downloads your profile, saved jobs and the applications you sent through Guap, whenever you like. When something is wrong, tap Guappy in the navbar to send us a bug, an idea or a question. It goes to our team inbox, and a person writes back by email. In reviewers' own words: > "Lost all my data, applications, resumes, in the middle of a job interview!!! Now my account is wiped clean and there is ZERO customer service." (Ildiko G., US, 1 of 5 stars, 12 Oct 2026, Trustpilot: https://www.trustpilot.com/reviews/6acd37a0a481a24b07f6f662) > "Oh also they deleted my resume so I had to remake my resume ALL OVER AGAIN!" (jld, US, 1 of 5 stars, 6 Oct 2026, Trustpilot: https://www.trustpilot.com/reviews/6ac529c3ebbb3816e6df3ff5) > "Zero customer service - a technical issue with their AI system is preventing me from submitting my resume / application. Its been well over a week and zero contact by indeed." (Craig C., US, 1 of 5 stars, 19 Oct 2026, Trustpilot: https://www.trustpilot.com/reviews/6ad61d707f5adc82f1adbf47) ### Where Indeed still earns its place 38% five-star reviews is not nothing. Indeed lists a huge number of jobs, its recommendations do land for some people, and uploading a CV and applying in one place is easy. Two of the happier reviews we read say so: > "Thanks to Indeed, I was able to find an excellent job which is suitable for my lifestyle." (Harshani A., GB, 5 of 5 stars, 14 Jul 2025, Trustpilot: https://www.trustpilot.com/reviews/68752be4e1e90d808780f8d6) > "It took me three months of looking every day, saying I wasn't interested on at least a hundred jobs, but my answer finally came in an email that recommended jobs in my area and now I have a new job!" (Otternauter, GB, 3 of 5 stars, 20 Sep 2026, Trustpilot: https://www.trustpilot.com/reviews/6aaf258a8a4cd85492ebbcf3) ### What we would do Use Indeed to see what is out there. Before you apply, open the company's own careers page and check the role is still on it. Keep your phone number off anything that does not need it, and never move a "recruiter" to WhatsApp. Keep track of who replied, so the silence tells you something. ### How we read the reviews Guap wrote this, and Guap makes a job search app, so read it with that in mind. On 20 October 2026 we read Indeed's Trustpilot page (https://www.trustpilot.com/review/www.indeed.com): the newest reviews, and the ones about job matches, listings, applying and accounts. The 16 reviews quoted here are copied word for word from the reviews themselves, and each card links to its review. We cut full names to a first name and last initial and left everything else as written, typos included. The score and the count change every day; the numbers here are the ones the page showed that day. Every survey figure links to the page it comes from. We have no connection to Indeed or Trustpilot, and neither has seen or approved this article. ### Questions #### What is Indeed's Trustpilot score? On 20 October 2026 it was 1.8 out of 5, from 13,058 reviews. 42% of them gave one star and 38% gave five. #### Why do so many people rate Indeed badly? The one-star reviews we read are about job matches that ignore stated preferences, listings that have expired or are scams, applications that get no reply, phone checks and unwanted calls, and accounts that lost their data with no one to contact. #### Why is it harder for young people on Indeed? Indeed Hiring Lab found entry-level postings down 7.5% in the year to May 2026, and 30% of applications to entry-level roles that May came from people with 10 or more years of experience. #### Does Guap need my phone number? No. You sign in with a code we email you, or with Google. Your number only reaches an employer if you put it in an application you send. #### Should I stop using Indeed? No. It has a lot of jobs and many people find work there. Check each role on the company's own careers page before you apply, and keep track of who replies. ### Sources - Indeed reviews on Trustpilot (checked 2026-10-20): https://www.trustpilot.com/review/www.indeed.com - Indeed Hiring Lab, The labor market is tilting toward seniority (23 July 2026) (checked 2026-10-20): https://hiringlab.indeed.com/2026/07/23/the-labor-market-is-tilting-toward-seniority/ - Indeed Hiring Lab, Entry-level jobs aren't just for inexperienced workers (23 July 2026) (checked 2026-10-20): https://hiringlab.indeed.com/2026/07/23/entry-level-jobs-arent-just-for-inexperienced-workers/ - Greenhouse, AI trust crisis survey (4,136 respondents, 19 November 2025) (checked 2026-10-20): https://www.greenhouse.com/newsroom/an-ai-trust-crisis-70-of-hiring-managers-trust-ai-to-make-faster-and-better-hiring-decisions-only-8-of-job-seekers-call-it-fair - Handshake, Class of 2026 AI outlook (April 2026) (checked 2026-10-20): https://joinhandshake.com/research/economic-research/class-of-2026-ai-outlook/ - ResumeBuilder, fake job postings survey (649 hiring managers, June 2024) (checked 2026-10-20): https://www.resumebuilder.com/3-in-10-companies-currently-have-fake-job-posting-listed/ - US Federal Trade Commission, Data Spotlight on job scams (12 December 2024) (checked 2026-10-20): https://www.ftc.gov/news-events/data-visualizations/data-spotlight/2024/12/paying-get-paid-gamified-job-scams-drive-record-losses ## Glassdoor has a 1.1 on Trustpilot. We read the reviews. | Guap URL: https://guap.work/blog/glassdoor-trustpilot-reviews Last updated: 2026-10-22 1,103 reviews, 94% of them one star. What job seekers hit on Glassdoor, in their own words, and what Guap does about each. ### A 1.1 out of 5 On 20 October 2026, Glassdoor's page on Trustpilot (https://www.trustpilot.com/review/www.glassdoor.com) showed a TrustScore of 1.1 out of 5, from 1,103 reviews. 94% of them give one star. 2% give five. Glassdoor is where people go to find out what a company is like before they apply: the reviews, the interviews, the pay. The reviews of Glassdoor are about getting to that information, and about whether it can be trusted once you do. We make Guap, an app for finding and applying to jobs, so we read the newest reviews. Below is what people wrote, why it hits people early in their careers hardest, and what Guap does about each complaint. Where Glassdoor is still useful, we say that too. ### Why it lands hardest when you are starting out Glassdoor works on give to get: share a review or a salary, and you can read more. That is fair for someone with a job to review. If you are about to start your first one, you have nothing to give, and you are the person who most needs to know what you are walking into. - In a 2023 survey of 2,000 people aged 16 to 26 (https://www.indeed.com/lead/survey-gen-z-expects-pay-transparency-and-flexibility) for Indeed (Indeed and Glassdoor share an owner), about 6 in 10 said they would never accept a job without reading employee ratings and reviews first, and 85% said it matters that a job posting lists the pay. - In Deloitte's 2025 survey (https://www.deloitte.com/global/en/about/press-room/deloitte-2025-gen-z-and-millennial-survey.html) of 14,751 Gen Z in 44 countries, 48% said they do not feel financially secure, up from 30% a year before. A bad pick of employer costs more when there is no cushion. So the people most likely to want the information are the ones the wall stops first. One reviewer put it as a question, below. ### Write a review to read one This is the complaint that comes up most: you go to read about a company and get asked to write a review, add a salary or fill in a form first. Some reviewers had already written several and still hit the wall. What Guap does. Job and company pages on Guap are public. You can read a role's full description and see a company's ghost count without an account, on the company pages (https://guap.work/companies). You only sign up to apply through Guap or track your applications. In reviewers' own words: > "Well, what if someone does not yet have any work experience but tries to read up on a company before applying?" (Rebeka B., GB, 1 of 5 stars, 13 Jun 2026, Trustpilot: https://www.trustpilot.com/reviews/6a2d39558e39b4b8306e7f4a) > "I have reviewed every company I’ve ever worked for and included most info you can. Yet every single time I go to see anything, I’m blocked access in order to submit a review." (Brett K., US, 1 of 5 stars, 16 Oct 2026, Trustpilot: https://www.trustpilot.com/reviews/6ad2783514a7fe58f90e6651) > "I went online to read some reviews, and was being forced to provide other data to read anything, and then forced to provide a review before I could read further, instead I closed my account!" (Adam, GB, 1 of 5 stars, 4 Aug 2026, Trustpilot: https://www.trustpilot.com/reviews/6a7201b87cb2ddae78ace4bb) ### A phone number and a pile of data The newest reviews add a second gate: a phone number before you can sign in, read or carry on, on top of an email address that was already checked. What Guap does. Guap never asks for a phone number to sign up or sign in. You sign in with a code we email you, or with Google, and there is no check by text. Your number only reaches an employer inside an application you choose to send. Our privacy page (https://guap.work/legal/privacy) says we do not sell your personal data and do not use it for advertising. In reviewers' own words: > "All I wanted was to see the salary range for people in the position I'm targeting at a specific company. That shouldn't take four steps and a pile of personal data." (Nathan B., US, 1 of 5 stars, 8 Oct 2026, Trustpilot: https://www.trustpilot.com/reviews/6ac80f7c6e5c4fd484cbb7b7) > "Can no longer login to my account without a phone number. Why should I share my phone number with a random website?" (Max M., CA, 1 of 5 stars, 22 May 2026, Trustpilot: https://www.trustpilot.com/reviews/6a10a47c4be314e18ce9670d) > "They want far too much personal data to access the site." (Peter K., GB, 1 of 5 stars, 12 Aug 2026, Trustpilot: https://www.trustpilot.com/reviews/6a7c746760514eff04d783a7) ### Reviews that disappeared The third complaint goes to the heart of a review site. People say critical reviews of their old employers were removed, often with no reason beyond "guidelines", and some conclude the site leans towards the companies. We cannot see Glassdoor's moderation from outside, so these are the reviewers' experiences, not a finding of ours. What Guap does. Guap does not host written reviews, so there is nothing to take down one by one. What it shows about a company is a single number: how many different Guap users got no reply from it in the past year, counted once at least three people marked an application Ghosted after two months or more of silence. A company cannot pay to have it removed. In reviewers' own words: > "They heavily censor reviews so you basically can't say anything negative without your review being taken down." (Paula B., GB, 1 of 5 stars, 12 Oct 2026, Trustpilot: https://www.trustpilot.com/reviews/6accff963533f0573c788698) > "After posting honest, fact-based reviews about companies I actually worked for, my contributions were removed." (Alessia C, ES, 1 of 5 stars, 26 Mar 2026, Trustpilot: https://www.trustpilot.com/reviews/69c4fdc3b61e431bce460b05) > "It looks like Glassdoor will just become an advertising platform for companies and employers. It is no longer on the side of the job applicant or employee." (Stan W., GB, 1 of 5 stars, 15 Sep 2026, Trustpilot: https://www.trustpilot.com/reviews/6aa964205e0ee53fa5714b1a) > "But still pro companies, regardless of how they treat their employees. Glassdoor is definitely not fair in that respect." (Valeriu, GB, 3 of 5 stars, 16 Jul 2026, Trustpilot: https://www.trustpilot.com/reviews/6a592d4d5904f983a617c2e3) ### Folded into Indeed Glassdoor and Indeed belong to the same owner, Recruit Holdings. In July 2025 Recruit cut about 1,300 jobs (https://recruit-holdings.com/en/newsroom/20250711_0001/), around 6% of the division that runs both, and said it would integrate Glassdoor into Indeed (https://www.hrdive.com/news/layoffs-glassdoor-indeed-ai-integration/752876/). Since then, many reviewers say they are pushed to sign in with Indeed. Glassdoor's own privacy policy (https://hrtechprivacy.com/brands/glassdoor) says that once you connect the two accounts, you may not disconnect them. What Guap does. A Guap account is not tied to another job site's account. Settings has a Delete account button that deletes your account and what is linked to it straight away. For now, uploaded CV files are removed when you email us; the privacy page says so. In reviewers' own words: > "Indeed has destroyed Glassdoor. I am no giving you my phone number for my "security"." (Bori, ES, 1 of 5 stars, 19 Oct 2026, Trustpilot: https://www.trustpilot.com/reviews/6ad62881861b5f6d3e4ca303) > "I tried just going on and forced to connect to Indeed. I didn't even have a way to cancel and skip." (Billy M., US, 1 of 5 stars, 1 Sep 2026, Trustpilot: https://www.trustpilot.com/reviews/6a964a6ecad45f63333115f2) > "Their option to continue without the Indeed login does not work." (Ian K., AU, 1 of 5 stars, 21 May 2026, Trustpilot: https://www.trustpilot.com/reviews/6a0e628144ca5723ef3ea3a9) > "If I want to delete my account, I should be able to click a "delete account" button. It should take me 2 seconds." (Merry K., US, 1 of 5 stars, 19 Mar 2026, Trustpilot: https://www.trustpilot.com/reviews/69bc64039d99834f6fa638ee) ### Where Glassdoor still earns its place Glassdoor holds years of first-hand accounts of what it is like to work somewhere, and some of the unhappy reviewers say the content is useful once you reach it. Salary ranges are the part most worth having, and the law is moving in your favour there: the EU's Pay Transparency Directive (https://eur-lex.europa.eu/eli/dir/2023/970/oj/eng) says an employer may not ask applicants about their pay history, and member states had until 7 June 2026 to make it law. > "The platform is quite useful for getting a general idea about company culture and salary ranges. The site is easy to navigate." (Andre R., DE, 4 of 5 stars, 15 Apr 2026, Trustpilot: https://www.trustpilot.com/reviews/69df28f5083cb4606dac21f5) ### What we would do Read Glassdoor for patterns, not single reviews: the same complaint from five people over two years means more than one angry post. Ask about pay early: once your country has made the EU rule law, an employer may not ask what you earn now. And look at whether a company answers its applicants at all. ### How we read the reviews Guap wrote this, and Guap makes a job search app, so read it with that in mind. On 20 October 2026 we read Glassdoor's Trustpilot page (https://www.trustpilot.com/review/www.glassdoor.com), newest first. The 15 reviews quoted here are copied word for word from the reviews themselves, and each card links to its review. We cut full names to a first name and last initial and left everything else as written, typos included. The score and the count change every day; the numbers here are the ones the page showed that day. Every other figure links to the page it comes from. We have no connection to Glassdoor, Indeed or Trustpilot, and none of them has seen or approved this article. ### Questions #### What is Glassdoor's Trustpilot score? On 20 October 2026 it was 1.1 out of 5, from 1,103 reviews, and 94% of those reviews gave one star. #### Why do people dislike Glassdoor? The reviews we read are about having to write a review or share data before reading anything, being asked for a phone number, honest reviews being removed, and being pushed to sign in with Indeed. #### Is Glassdoor part of Indeed? Both belong to Recruit Holdings, which said in July 2025 that it would integrate Glassdoor into Indeed. Glassdoor's privacy policy says that once you connect a Glassdoor account to an Indeed account, you may not disconnect them. #### Can I see what a company is like on Guap without an account? Yes. Job and company pages on Guap are public, including how many Guap users got no reply from a company in the past year. Guap does not host written reviews. #### Should I still use Glassdoor? Yes, for patterns and pay ranges. Read many reviews rather than one, and check whether a company replies to its applicants. ### Sources - Glassdoor reviews on Trustpilot (checked 2026-10-20): https://www.trustpilot.com/review/www.glassdoor.com - Indeed and The Center for Generational Kinetics, Gen Z survey (2,000 people aged 16 to 26, January 2023) (checked 2026-10-20): https://www.indeed.com/lead/survey-gen-z-expects-pay-transparency-and-flexibility - Deloitte, 2025 Gen Z and Millennial Survey (14 May 2025) (checked 2026-10-20): https://www.deloitte.com/global/en/about/press-room/deloitte-2025-gen-z-and-millennial-survey.html - Recruit Holdings, HR Technology workforce reduction (11 July 2025) (checked 2026-10-20): https://recruit-holdings.com/en/newsroom/20250711_0001/ - HR Dive, Glassdoor and Indeed layoffs (11 July 2025) (checked 2026-10-20): https://www.hrdive.com/news/layoffs-glassdoor-indeed-ai-integration/752876/ - Glassdoor privacy policy (revised 1 July 2026) (checked 2026-10-20): https://hrtechprivacy.com/brands/glassdoor - Directive (EU) 2023/970 on pay transparency (checked 2026-10-20): https://eur-lex.europa.eu/eli/dir/2023/970/oj/eng ## Naukri has a 1.7 on Trustpilot. We read the reviews. | Guap URL: https://guap.work/blog/naukri-trustpilot-reviews Last updated: 2026-10-23 200 reviews, 65% of them one star. What job seekers in India hit on Naukri, in their own words, and what Guap does about each. ### A 1.7 out of 5 On 20 October 2026, Naukri's page on Trustpilot (https://www.trustpilot.com/review/www.naukri.com) showed a TrustScore of 1.7 out of 5, from 200 reviews. 65% of them give one star, and 25% give five. Naukri answers almost all of the negative ones: the page says it replied to 97% of them. 200 is a small number for a site this size, and most Indian job seekers will never write a Trustpilot review. But the reviews that are there tell one story more than any other: people paid for a plan that promised to get them noticed, and nothing changed. We make Guap, an app for finding and applying to jobs, so we went and read them. Below is what people wrote, why it lands hardest on young job seekers, and what Guap does about each complaint. Where Naukri works, we say that too. ### Why it lands hardest when you are starting out In India, unemployment is mostly a young person's problem, and an educated one: - The India Employment Report 2024 (https://www.ilo.org/sites/default/files/2024-08/India%20Employment%20-%20web_8%20April.pdf) from the ILO and the Institute for Human Development found that in 2022, young people made up 82.9% of everyone unemployed, and educated young people's share of everyone unemployed rose from 54.2% in 2000 to 65.7%. Among young graduates, 29.1% were unemployed (https://www.ilo.org/media/534736/download). - The government's own labour force survey for July 2026 (https://www.mospi.gov.in/uploads/publications_reports/publications_reports1786961156282_a6b1f4a2-bc6d-4775-b6db-a5992a9277d8_MB_July_2026.pdf) put unemployment at 15.6% for ages 15 to 29, and 18.6% for young people in cities, against 5.1% for everyone 15 and over. - The other side: Naukri's own JobSpeak index (https://www.naukri.com/blog/naukri-jobspeak-white-collar-hiring-grows-14-in-aug-fresher-hiring-ai-roles-lead/) says fresher hiring in August 2026 was 15% higher than a year before. More openings for freshers, and still far more freshers than openings. That gap is where a paid plan that promises to put you at the top of the pile sells best. ### Paying to be seen Naukri's paid add-ons are sold on exactly that promise. On its FastForward (https://resume.naukri.com/) menu, Resume Display says "Gain more visibility among recruiters" and Priority Applicant says "Increase your chance of getting a call". The most common complaint in the reviews is that it did not: views, perhaps, but no calls, and sometimes fewer than on the free plan. What Guap does. Nothing on Guap makes you more visible to employers. There is no boost or priority badge to buy, and an employer sees its applicants in the order they applied. What job seekers can pay for is AI help, such as a cover letter or a CV check, from 5 US cents an action, out of prepaid credit. Every price is on the pricing page (https://guap.work/pricing). In reviewers' own words: > "They make great promises over the phone about extra visibility and services, but none of it actually happens. You end up getting the exact same experience as the free plan." (Akshay K., IN, 1 of 5 stars, 5 Oct 2026, Trustpilot: https://www.trustpilot.com/reviews/6ac3511d7996e905acece500) > "Months later, nothing. No recruiter contact, no real benefit over the free plan." (Anisha S., IN, 1 of 5 stars, 11 Sep 2026, Trustpilot: https://www.trustpilot.com/reviews/6aa3c61b0e9e7d54ee25810a) > "I purchased a paid subscription, but I was getting more calls on the free account." (Kumar V., IN, 1 of 5 stars, 2 Sep 2026, Trustpilot: https://www.trustpilot.com/reviews/6a97dce8654cd2a0c97a53db) > "I had actually taken the Naukri resume display service for three months but it got me views only." (Anurag B., DE, 3 of 5 stars, 14 Dec 2024, Trustpilot: https://www.trustpilot.com/reviews/675ddc4188e38e091647b4fd) ### Calls before you pay, silence after The second complaint is about people. Reviewers describe a relationship manager who rang often until the payment went through and then stopped answering, followed by calls offering the next package. Some also say spam calls and messages started soon after they signed up. What Guap does. Guap never needs your phone number to sign up or sign in, and nobody from Guap rings you to sell a package. When you need us, tap Guappy in the navbar to send us a bug, an idea or a question. It goes to our team inbox, and a person writes back by email. In reviewers' own words: > "Never buy Naukri premium. Their RM will disappear after taking payment and there tools also do not work." (Keshav B., IN, 1 of 5 stars, 20 Jul 2026, Trustpilot: https://www.trustpilot.com/reviews/6a5e079520c8e47e0c4f4bfe) > "Not once in these two months has the RM reached out to understand my job requirements or check if I have even had any interviews." (Gaurav V., AU, 1 of 5 stars, 15 Sep 2024, Trustpilot: https://www.trustpilot.com/reviews/66e65e3b49d93dd32817f826) > "Instead, your customer care keeps calling and asking me to buy another package. How many packages am I supposed to purchase without getting any result?" (Deepak S., IN, 1 of 5 stars, 7 Sep 2026, Trustpilot: https://www.trustpilot.com/reviews/6a9ead5835ee274b45bf4e1e) > "Another major issue is the number of spam calls and messages I started receiving after signing up. It feels like my data is being shared too freely, which is concerning." (Vidya K., IN, 1 of 5 stars, 26 Apr 2026, Trustpilot: https://www.trustpilot.com/reviews/69edb4690d3804e8a47daacd) ### Asking for a refund A smaller group were charged for a renewal they did not expect, or cancelled straight away, and were told there are no refunds. What Guap does. There is no subscription for job seekers. You buy a prepaid credit pack once, nothing renews, and credit never expires. Unused credit is refundable within 14 days of purchase: write to us and we send it back. If a paid action fails, its credit comes back on its own. In reviewers' own words: > "When I immediately contacted their support team to cancel the service and requested a refund, they completely refused, hiding behind a strict "no refund policy."" (Preeti V., IN, 1 of 5 stars, 25 May 2026, Trustpilot: https://www.trustpilot.com/reviews/6a13eb3e816d4a7404cf74e3) > "However, when I contacted customer support, they informed me that no refund will be provided since the money was already deducted, even though I had cancelled right away." (Tumpa R., IN, 2 of 5 stars, 3 Oct 2025, Trustpilot: https://www.trustpilot.com/reviews/68df7c3029fd90f6194efd0a) ### Matches that miss Then the jobs themselves: a profile filled in carefully, updated daily, and recommendations that have nothing to do with it. What Guap does. You can filter Guap's job feed by remote, hybrid or on-site, by type (full-time, part-time, internship, contract, entry-level or a 4-day week) and by how recently a role was posted. Pass on a job and it leaves your feed for good. We should also be plain about size: Guap is new in India, and on 20 October our page of jobs in India (https://guap.work/jobs-in/india) listed 66 open roles. In reviewers' own words: > "I’ve saved my profile with accurate experience, skills, and location preferences, but I still keep getting irrelevant job openings." (Aarti D., IN, 1 of 5 stars, 17 Aug 2026, Trustpilot: https://www.trustpilot.com/reviews/6a82792caf9e232d2bacd52a) > "I joined the premium service but really a waste of money. The job profiles I received , 95% of them were completely unrelated." (Niti J., IN, 1 of 5 stars, 16 Jun 2026, Trustpilot: https://www.trustpilot.com/reviews/6a31021c64baeaeb1a069ad5) > "This site is good for only freshers, I’ve got my resume updated and ATS friendly and have been active on naukri.com since over a year, updating my profile daily, but not one call." (Ketan N., IN, 1 of 5 stars, 30 Jul 2026, Trustpilot: https://www.trustpilot.com/reviews/6a6ac8ef4ed0ad9876e2a6f5) ### Recruiters who want money Job scams are a problem across India, not only on Naukri. In 2023 the Home Ministry's cybercrime centre flagged over 100 websites (https://www.pib.gov.in/PressReleasePage.aspx?PRID=1982936) running part-time job frauds, and said their targets were mostly retired people, women and unemployed young people. Naukri's own security page (https://company.naukri.com/landing-page/fakejobtrend/new/index.html) warns that scammers ask for registration fees of Rs 500 to Rs 1,000 or more, and says: "No legitimate company will ever ask you to pay for the job!" What Guap does. On Guap, only an employer that has confirmed a business email can post a role or start a conversation, and only with people who applied to its own roles. Guap never charges you for a job, and there is no way to pay an employer through it. Guap does not screen messages for scams, though, so the rule holds everywhere: never pay to get a job. In a reviewer's own words: > "Worst platform. Full of fake job calls, scams asking for money, and no real opportunities." (nginx, IN, 1 of 5 stars, 7 Sep 2025, Trustpilot: https://www.trustpilot.com/reviews/68bd3a58997a5a1dd11108d7) ### Where Naukri still earns its place A quarter of the reviews give five stars, and Naukri has more Indian employers on it than a new app can. Its search filters work for some people, its job alerts are useful, and one reviewer says the paid plan has improved: > "The search filters helped me find the roles that actually matched my experience and the niche I wanted to work in." (Bandana G., IN, 4 of 5 stars, 28 Sep 2026, Trustpilot: https://www.trustpilot.com/reviews/6ab9f85b8f71d1db7924be6d) > "The job alerts and resume visibility features are helpful. However, some job postings feel repetitive and response rates can be improved." (Aron J., IN, 4 of 5 stars, 20 Dec 2025, Trustpilot: https://www.trustpilot.com/reviews/694529e24df0641cdb4527b6) > "Had taken it few years back and it was useless but now it's called naukri pro and it's actually good." (Natalia K., IN, 5 of 5 stars, 5 May 2026, Trustpilot: https://www.trustpilot.com/reviews/69fa201dd98246815b8e496a) ### What we would do Keep your Naukri profile up to date; it is free, and recruiters search it. Before paying for visibility, ask what you get if the calls do not come, and get the answer in writing. Apply on the company's own careers page where you can. And never pay anyone who offers you a job. ### How we read the reviews Guap wrote this, and Guap makes a job search app, so read it with that in mind. On 20 October 2026 we read Naukri's Trustpilot page (https://www.trustpilot.com/review/www.naukri.com): the newest reviews, and the ones about paid plans, calls and job matches. The 17 quoted here are copied word for word from the reviews themselves, and each card links to its review. We cut full names to a first name and last initial and left everything else as written, typos included. The score and the count change every day; the numbers here are the ones the page showed that day. Every other figure links to the page it comes from. We have no connection to Naukri, Info Edge or Trustpilot, and none of them has seen or approved this article. ### Questions #### What is Naukri's Trustpilot score? On 20 October 2026 it was 1.7 out of 5, from 200 reviews. 65% of them gave one star and 25% gave five. #### Is Naukri FastForward worth it? The reviews we read are mostly from people who say it was not: more profile views at best, no more calls. A few say the newer Naukri Pro helped. If you buy it, check the refund terms first. #### Does Naukri ask for money to get a job? Naukri itself warns that no real company will ask you to pay for a job, and that scammers ask for registration fees. A recruiter who asks you for money is not one to trust. #### Can I use Guap in India? Yes. Sign-up is open in India and Guap lists jobs there, though it is new: on 20 October 2026 its page of jobs in India had 66 open roles. Paid actions are priced in US dollars. #### Should I delete my Naukri profile? No. Recruiters in India search it, and keeping it up to date costs nothing. Be careful about what you pay for. ### Sources - Naukri reviews on Trustpilot (checked 2026-10-20): https://www.trustpilot.com/review/www.naukri.com - ILO and Institute for Human Development, India Employment Report 2024 (checked 2026-10-20): https://www.ilo.org/sites/default/files/2024-08/India%20Employment%20-%20web_8%20April.pdf - ILO, India Employment Report 2024, executive summary (checked 2026-10-20): https://www.ilo.org/media/534736/download - Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, PLFS monthly bulletin, July 2026 (checked 2026-10-20): https://www.mospi.gov.in/uploads/publications_reports/publications_reports1786961156282_a6b1f4a2-bc6d-4775-b6db-a5992a9277d8_MB_July_2026.pdf - Naukri JobSpeak, August 2026 (7 September 2026) (checked 2026-10-20): https://www.naukri.com/blog/naukri-jobspeak-white-collar-hiring-grows-14-in-aug-fresher-hiring-ai-roles-lead/ - Naukri FastForward (checked 2026-10-20): https://resume.naukri.com/ - Naukri security page on fake jobs (checked 2026-10-20): https://company.naukri.com/landing-page/fakejobtrend/new/index.html - Press Information Bureau, Ministry of Home Affairs (6 December 2023) (checked 2026-10-20): https://www.pib.gov.in/PressReleasePage.aspx?PRID=1982936 - Guap jobs in India (checked 2026-10-20): https://guap.work/jobs-in/india - Guap pricing (checked 2026-10-20): https://guap.work/pricing ## This week at Guap: Guappy shows you around | Guap URL: https://guap.work/blog/this-week-at-guap-2026-10-26 Last updated: 2026-10-26 Guappy now gives you a guided tour of Guap. Plus location and salary filters on jobs, three new Fix my CV cards and four reports. ### A new post every Monday We ship something on Guap most days, and most of it is easy to miss. So from today, every Monday, we write down what changed in the week before: what is new, where to find it and what it does for you. Short, and only things you can use. This week the big one is Guappy. ### Meet Guappy, your guide to Guap Guappy is the little lime drop in the top bar, the one you click to send us feedback. He now also gives you a guided tour of the whole app. Click Guappy and choose Show me around. On your first visit he also asks if you want the tour. He waits for your click, and nothing starts on its own. Then he flies. He goes to each part of each page, scrolls the page as he goes, and explains what that part shows and what you can do with it, in two short sentences at most. The rest of the page goes dark around the part he is talking about, so you always know where to look. The tour has eight chapters: - Welcome: the map of the tour, the bottom bar, News, Barista and your account menu. - Jobs: search, Open Market and For you, sort, filters, your match score and a job page. - Saved: the jobs you kept, and what a closed role means. - Brewing Process: your stages, the calendar and Needs you. - Messages: your chats with companies and how to reply. - Profile: profile strength, importing your CV or LinkedIn, application answers and the CV check. - Settings: credits, Barista, AI assistance, security codes, connected AI apps and your data. - Bonus: the First Sip perks. ### Go at your own pace - The map shows every stop on the tour. Click any stop to jump straight there, so you can come back later for the one thing you forgot. - Next and Back, or the right and left arrow keys, move you through the stops. - His voice is a small blip per letter. You can mute it, and Guap remembers. - Text speed and size are yours to change, from the bubble itself. - Close it any time with the X. Guappy flies back to his spot in the top bar, and the next time you open the guide you can carry on where you stopped. If you tell him you are between 16 and 24, he also opens a small, silent focus video in the corner to keep you company. Click it to pause, drag its corner to resize it, or close it. ### Guappy shows, you do One rule we held the tour to: Guappy never does anything for you. He opens pages and panels so you can see them, like the filters or your account menu. He never applies, saves a job, sends a message, spends credits or changes a setting. Every one of those stays your click. The guide is on now for First Sip (https://guap.work/ambassadors) members, our early members club, and it comes to everyone next. ### Also this week - Filter jobs by place and pay. On the jobs page, Filters now take a country and a city, and a minimum yearly salary. A job with more than one location shows up if any of them match. You asked for this one in your feedback. - Fit to length in Fix my CV. If your CV runs longer than it should, Guap proposes what to cut to bring it down to whole pages, measured on the rebuilt PDF. You see every cut first and can untick any of them. - No more "I" in your summary. Fix with Guap now rewrites a summary or headline written in the first person. - Skills you never use. A new card lists the skills on your CV that none of your bullets back up, so you can decide which to keep. Guap only suggests removing them, and it never adds them to your bullets. - The same cards in Barista (https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/gpfgefappeohnknhabmplkblodjpopam). All three are on the web now, and they come to Barista with its next update. - Four reports on the blog. We read the Trustpilot reviews of LinkedIn (https://guap.work/blog/linkedin-trustpilot-reviews), Indeed (https://guap.work/blog/indeed-trustpilot-reviews), Glassdoor (https://guap.work/blog/glassdoor-trustpilot-reviews) and Naukri (https://guap.work/blog/naukri-trustpilot-reviews), and wrote down what job seekers keep running into and what Guap does about each. ### Next week Guappy is learning his way around Barista, our browser extension, so he can give the same tour there. We will tell you here when it is ready. Something you want us to build, or something that broke? Click Guappy and tell us. We read every message. ### Questions #### How do I start the Guap tour again? Click Guappy in the top bar and choose Open the guide. The map lets you start over or carry on from where you stopped. #### Does the tour change anything in my account? No. Guappy only opens pages and panels so you can see them. He never applies, saves, sends, spends credits or changes a setting. #### Who can use the guide? It is on now for First Sip members and comes to everyone on Guap next. ### Sources - First Sip, Guap's early members club (checked 2026-10-26): https://guap.work/ambassadors - Guap Barista on the Chrome Web Store (checked 2026-10-26): https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/gpfgefappeohnknhabmplkblodjpopam ## Companies hiring on Guap: open roles by employer URL: https://guap.work/companies Last updated: 2026-10-13 Every company with open roles on Guap, how many each has now, and a page per company, from roles posted on Guap and roles on company careers sites. Each company links to its own page, which lists its open roles, each with its own page. The list changes as roles open and close, so it is read live from the site rather than kept here. ## Jobs by location: open roles by country and city | Guap URL: https://guap.work/jobs-in Last updated: 2026-10-13 Open roles on Guap grouped by country and city, plus remote jobs and internships. A place gets its own page once it has at least five live roles. Hub pages for a place sit at https://guap.work/jobs-in/, with https://guap.work/remote-jobs and https://guap.work/internships beside them. A hub exists only while it has at least five live roles; its counts, companies and pay ranges are counted from those roles on the day the page is built. ## Free job search tools: ATS CV checker and more | Guap URL: https://guap.work/tools Last updated: 2026-10-12 Free tools for job seekers from Guap: check how an ATS parser reads your CV, with no account and nothing stored. - [ATS CV checker](https://guap.work/tools/ats-cv-checker): Upload a PDF or Word CV and see which parsing rules it passes, with a fix for each one it fails. - [Salary checker](https://guap.work/tools/salary-checker): Paste a job posting link and see whether it states its pay, as a range or a figure, and per what. - [Job application tracker template](https://guap.work/tools/job-application-tracker): A free spreadsheet for every application, with the stages from applying to offer. Excel, Google Sheets or CSV. ## Free ATS CV checker: see how a parser reads your CV | Guap URL: https://guap.work/tools/ats-cv-checker Last updated: 2026-10-12 Upload a PDF or Word CV and see which ATS parsing rules it passes: columns, headings, dates, icons and contact details. Free, no account, file not kept. ### What it checks - Single-column layout - Standard section headings - Dates a parser can read - Contact details in the body - No graphics or icons - Real text layer - Bullets start with action verbs - Bullets carry numbers - No personal pronouns - Nothing that should be left out - Short bullets - Standard font - No buzzwords - Photo and personal data for the region - Length for the region and level - Section order - Plain-text paste test - Links printed in full - File name - File format for the ATS ### Questions #### Is the ATS CV checker free? Yes. It needs no account and no payment. One address can run it 40 times an hour. #### Do you keep my CV? No. The file is read in memory on Guap’s server and dropped as soon as the answer is sent. It is not saved, not added to any account and not sent to an AI model. #### What does the free check test? The 20 rules that code can decide on its own: single-column layout, standard section headings, dates a parser can read, contact details in the body, no graphics or icons, real text layer, bullets start with action verbs, bullets carry numbers, no personal pronouns, nothing that should be left out, short bullets, standard font, no buzzwords, photo and personal data for the region, length for the region and level, section order, plain-text paste test, links printed in full, file name and file format for the ATS. Each comes from Guap’s CV playbook, and each failed rule comes with a fix. #### What does it not test? Rules that need a reader or the job you are applying for: relevant to the job, nothing inflated, consistent tense, clear visual hierarchy, the job's exact keywords and gaps explained. The full CV check inside Guap judges those against a job and suggests rewrites of your bullets. #### Which files can I upload? A PDF or a Word (.docx) file, up to 5 MB and 6 pages. A scanned PDF has no text for a parser to read, and that is what the check will tell you. #### Is this exactly what every ATS does? No checker can run every employer’s system. This one tests the layout and wording problems that commonly break CV parsing, such as two columns, contact details in a page header and icons in place of text. ## Salary checker: does this job posting state its pay? | Guap URL: https://guap.work/tools/salary-checker Last updated: 2026-10-12 Paste a job posting link and see whether it states its pay: a range or a figure, the currency, and whether it is per hour, month or year. Free, no account. ### Questions #### Is the salary checker free? Yes. It needs no account. One address can check 30 links an hour. #### How does it tell whether a job posting states pay? For a Greenhouse, Lever or Ashby posting it asks the job board’s public API, which carries the pay range when the employer published one. For any other page it reads the posting’s structured job data (schema.org JobPosting) and then its text, where it counts a figure only when it has a currency and sits next to a word like salary or pay, or a period like per month. #### What does it say about the pay? Whether pay is stated, and in what form: a range or a single figure (or only a lower or upper end), the currency, and what the figure is per (hour, day, week, month or year) when the posting says. #### Do you keep the link I check? Guap keeps the answer for a day, so checking the same link again does not fetch the page again. There is no account and no history of who checked what. #### Which links can it read? Public job postings on http or https. A page behind a sign-in, an address on a private network, or a page that only shows its text after running scripts in your browser may not be readable. ## Free job application tracker template (Excel, Sheets) | Guap URL: https://guap.work/tools/job-application-tracker Last updated: 2026-10-12 A free job application tracker for Excel, Google Sheets or CSV, with stages from applying to offer, interview dates and next steps. No sign-up needed. Downloads: https://guap.work/tools/job-application-tracker/guap-job-application-tracker.xlsx (Excel, Google Sheets) and https://guap.work/tools/job-application-tracker/guap-job-application-tracker.csv (CSV). ### Questions #### Is the job application tracker template free? Yes. Download it as an Excel workbook or a CSV file, with no sign-up and no email address. #### Does it work in Google Sheets? Yes. In Google Sheets open File, then Import, and upload the .xlsx file: the columns, the filters and the stage drop-down come with it. The CSV opens in any spreadsheet app. #### What stages does it use? Applying, Applied, Pending Response, Interview Scheduled, Offer, Rejected and Withdrawn: the stages of Barista’s own application tracker, so a sheet kept by hand and Barista’s tracker read the same way. #### What should I write in each row? One row per application: the company, the role and the link to the posting, its stage, the day you applied and the day it last changed, what happens next, interview details, a contact, the pay the posting states, and notes. The workbook’s second sheet explains each column. #### How is this different from Barista’s tracker? The sheet is filled in by hand. Barista, Guap’s free Chrome extension, adds each application it fills on a careers site as a dated stage, marks it sent when you submit, and reminds you before interviews.
